So much better than the English twats.
The twats here are those who water duel use tracks endlessly to maintain good ground during the flat season, then the first drop of rain that falls turns the ground deep for NH season because the table is so high.
Sandown now has an all chase card on Saturday, ground currently soft with some good to soft, the hurdles track being unraceable...

Does anyone pay for the racing post? Article on there about Elliot’s runners, including Romeo’s target….unable to access as I refuse to pay for the shoddy app 😂😂

Saw it on twitter, said he's going for the Irish arkle.

Yeah he said with the ground testing it makes sense to go for the shorter race, and they'll find out if he's an arkle horse.

Thanks Ricci, be interesting to see what they do if he can’t lay a glove on the protagonists.

Elliott really is caught between a rock and a hard place with Romeo Coolio. He is such a beautiful horse, and a consumate jumper of a fence, but at this stage the Golden Miller looks the right trip for him. As it is a handicap these days, he will end up giving weight away to (probably) most of the field. Step down in trip and you face the dual monsters of Lulamba and Kopek Des Bordes, step up in trip and you face the monster Final Demand. I guess it makes sense to go Irish Arkle at the weekend, at least he will then know his fate regarding Kopek Des Bordes - although I haven't seen a novice chaser with his (KdB) raw talent since Sprinter Sacre.

And of course what happens if he does win but then it's very dry/warm leading up to the Fez and starting on the Good side of Soft on the opening day ?

In that scenario, given his performances over further, I would expect him to be going BANC at the festival.
3m on decent ground be fine for him imo.
Lulamba and Kopek be too quick for him imo.

…..as we’re heading towards the end of the month, a reminder of a few key dates next month;

February 10th; MNH & Mares Chase entries.
February 17th; Handicap entries.
February 24th; Handicap weights; CB & Hunter Chase entries.

Yeah I agree. Will be a shame if that is the case as he races so powerfully, if they had spent the season settling him I’d give him a cracking shout over 3m, but not if he travels so strongly, which he seems to do over 2m4.
