Apparently we got a rain storm coming this weekend down South, not sure about North?

Same up North as well. It'll be like a swamp at Haydock if the forecast is correct. Imagine plenty will be pulled unfortunately.

Up to 12mm of rain forecast for Haydock tomorrow, ground currently good, it might go soft but can't imagine it will go very deep.
Horrible day though, cold, rain and winds gusting at 50mph...

Could be loads more than that depending on how the storm moves.

….those interested in Betfair Day, Storm Bert hit Merseyside by 05.00am and we’ve pretty much had torrential rain and gale force winds since.

Not sure of the travelling arrangements for Irish horses, but if not already here I would think they’ll struggle to cross the Irish Sea this morning.

i’m due to pick my son up from Manchester Airport in the next few hours. He’s been US for his job but there’s no way I can drive in this weather, I’ve messaged him and he says he’ll get a cab. Really not nice out there.

Same in Wigan but not as strong on the wind front but is building, i can hear the blind in the bathroom banging louder :welcoming: You are closer to the sea though Eggs. It is raining but not heavy yet however, is persistent.

Going at Haydock is currently soft (good to soft in places). I imagine it will be softer by the off and Haydock can turn testing very quickly.

….its much ‘quieter’ than it was a few hours ago. Still stormy, Rain has relented in Liverpool much depends on whether there’s squalls or not.

Looks like it's going to be hammering it down at Haydock very soon.

All aboard the Pig in the Betfair Chase.

Can see a fair few NR's happening.

Benn consistently raining since the early hours, it's showing as heavy rain. I wouldn't say its heavy rain but it's not stopped.

Capodanno for me. Mullins first ever Betfair chase runner and he's outsider of the lot. Ridiculous price.

Definitely Heavy by race time

Good news BigChaang just asked one of my St Helens scum Colleagues and he proudly tells me that the 'Eccy' arms is indeed swanky. Says it is mint and the food is awesome so you seem to have selected well :teapot:

I can report back that the Ecclestone Arms is definitely a Nice hotel , and has Great food .. :peach: .

Had a Great weekend with a few Mates , at the Betfair Chase , Yes the weather was wet on saturday , but not enough to dampen our Spirit . !! .
Managed to back a few Winners , and placed horses . So even made a few quid on the trip .. Great Stuff !! . :cheerful: .
