Very aware it's November and far too early for handicaps, but noticed Hills have Fortune De Mer at 20s for the County. 12s with Unibet and 10s with Sky and PP. Skelton has said it's the target, if you can trust his word...

Being top priced with Hills he could be an interesting one for a win today & county double market at some point as he'd need to be winning somewhere along the way to get in the County.

Equally he probably wants two other runs where he doesn't win so you'd have to time it right haha

Anyone getting blocked by 365?

John Durkan shaping to be very revealing and a great early season race.
I've not backed any of the runners yet, but hopefully there are some over reactions after the race.
Definitely tricky trying to take a position (strike any bets) before the race

edit - forgot I'd backed Lecky and so if he runs hopefully an average run will hold the price at least

I reckon Fastorslow might surprise again which will really mess with things 😂😂

Mark Walsh appears set to ride Fact To File in preference to Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Inothewayurthinkin when the JP McManus-owned stars clash in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase on Sunday.

The Willie Mullins-trained Fact To File will be defending his crown in the extended two-mile-three-furlong showpiece, having beaten another McManus runner, Spillane’s Tower, 12 months ago.

Gavin Cromwell’s Inothewayurthinkin was last of the seven to complete on that occasion, but continued to progress throughout the campaign, culminating in glory in the blue riband at the Festival in March, where Fact To File landed the Ryanair Chase.

“I don’t know the final decision on who will ride Inothewayurthinkin yet – we’ll speak with connections on that. I suspect Mark Walsh will ride Fact To File having won the race on him last year, but we’ll have to wait and see. If that’s the case, I’d say Keith Donoghue will probably ride our lad,” said William Hill ambassador Cromwell.

“We’re really happy with him at home and he seems in great form. The trip is a little bit on the sharp side for him, but it’s a nice starting point for this season. He’s a sharper, stronger horse than he was this time last year, so we’re hopeful of a good run.

“In my mind, a good run would be a clear round of jumping and galloping well to the line without being beaten too far. I hope he can be competitive, but you have the likes of Fact To File in there who is a faster horse. We’ll probably struggle to beat him on the day. Hopefully we can make a race of it.”

I was all over this last the last two seasons up until his injury

Backed for last year KG aswell

I don’t like backing horses after injury, will they have him revved up (one of those that win FTO but then bounces) or just go through the motions and look for a win later in season

Hmmmmmm headache!!

If he wins the JD and then targets the KG, I’ll be sick lol. Then again, he’s 10/1 which i feel is … a little skinny

That 1965 looks proper good this weekend, so much better than previous renewals. Heart Wood drifting in JD and shortening for this. He’s my AP bet this weekend. With a view of going King George after (??)

Thats the plan Opatcho. Let's hope it all goes well. I know you have a KG ticket on him too. By far and away my best winner in the race so would be delighted to see him lining up on Boxing Day (If i can indeed see at that time on Boxing Day) I am usually pissed out of shape by the time the King George comes on :ROFLMAO:

….if you want a little insurance for small stake, Hills offer 40-1 Fastorslow Durkan/KG.

….Greenhall & G RP, added to stable tour, appreciated @The Fellow.

Just to note, I have been attempting to update post #2206 in ‘Under the Radar’ thread, capturing anything mentioned in stable tour with a specific handicap target. Feel free to let me know if you notice any and I can add them to that post.
