General Chat

Anyone pick up on nicky henderson last week randomly saying Jessie Harringtons going to win the english 2000 guineas during an interview. Struck me as odd to come out with it, but may have missed the full context. Either way, article in Racing Post today suggesting Green Impact 33/1 will be heading to the english guineas and Hotazhell 16/1 french gns.

Just incase you wanted full context Henderson was saying it in a reply when asked about constitution hills participation at Punchestown, he said he'd be over their looking after Jessie Harringtons house while she was over here winning the guineas, so he didn't see why not.

Punchestown Champion hurdle 2nd May
Newmarket 2000 guineas 3rd May

I'd suggest Micheal Nolan probably needs to delete all of his social media

He should've pulled the horse up no doubt. I'd argue all of the jockeys beaten 70+ lengths should've pulled up.

You can't place, you can't win prize money, your horse clearly hasn't run its race and is likely exhausted so why bother carrying on.

The authorities will now be under pressure to give him a much longer ban. Many who dont like the sport will be calling for a lifetime ban because in their eyes he killed the horse. Hopefully they dont cave like they always do when the anti racing crowd get on them.

Just chased Slybet to find out where the 2026 win any race betting is after they told me it would be up after Aintree.
Well what can in let you guys know? I would of had more joy hammering a 6" nail into my penis with a toffee hammer :stupid:
What she said was what promotion are you talking about? We are using new software so some promotions get lost in the system for a few weeks :highly_amused:
After saying that you always have them up after Cheltenham it looked like she gave me the axe (aka fuck off) and disappeared. Well at least i got passed the bot :highly_amused:
All i can say guys if you want the prices up kick off at them and tell them your shutting your account as they dont offer what you want.
UPDATE.
Just sent a message on twatter asking for a price for a horse to win any race. Lets see what i dont get back pmsfl.

Good old skybet, they never let ya down !

I’d agree he was leading the national 3 out, the horse must have been giving him plenty to be there at that point!

Could possibly maybe say after he was headed he maybe could have done something a little quicker but the adrenaline etc would have still been flying round the body at that point.

It was about 15 seconds where he went from being in contention (and therefore the jockey was bound by the rules to ride for the best possible placing) to being in distress and pulled up.

I think that he should probably have been pulled up before the last but I can't be too critical of a young man who was in the heat of the battle.

Well nothing came of the horse i asked to be priced up. Not even a we got your request and will come back to you! Was on to live chat again today (day off work) and got hold a Calum who said he will ask the traders and email me back today. Do i hold my breath?

I forgot to put earlier

Appreciate the friendly tone as always

I don’t know if this is just me but I tend to put a ‘voice’ to people’s words and sometimes it can come across as being short/ unfriendly etc from people but more than likely unintended. It’s a pain writing on your phone sometimes:peaceful:

Also maybe an unpopular opinion but unfortunately horses are going to die during a race or because of a race as in Celebre D’allen. I accept it’s part of the sport and for the most part these race horses are very well cared for. They are bred to race or they wouldn’t be bred at all. Except for the minority that are pets/ work etc. If it wasn’t for the purpose of racing, horses wouldn’t exist anywhere near the numbers there is currently. All imo of course .

Agreed. There's always going to be a risk so these things will happen, unfortunately. I hate seeing horses fall, breakdown etc but I accept this is part of the sport we all enjoy. As you say, without the sport, there'd be no thoroughbred horses.

Worth remembering horses are fragile creatures who are just as likely to get injured running wild in a field, there’s an argument racing and the training on racehorses actually prolong life by offering protection from
unsupervised accident/injury.
No-one enjoys seeing it and those closely involved are so attached to their horses they are distraught when they lose one, but very occasional incidents can’t be avoided sadly…

Assuming the money has come for Olympic Man in the Scottish Grand National as he is the choice of Patrick. Big Move.

Maybe
Green Impact 33s
Doubled with a Festival horse (or 2) Each Way

for small stakes
that you want to try and get the Cheltenham one on board for the Place payout.

Kalif Du Berlais 16s Champion Chase for example.

That must be around 30/1 for the Place Double

The Win Part would be mind boggling so I'd park that thought until/unless the first part happened and focus on the Place Double potential.

Its the sort of thing I throw around in my head when thinking of putting a "now" horse with a next March horse

If we knew Green Impact was defo coming to Newmarket

Just noticed for anyone with a Geoff Banks Online Acct - or who wants to open one, that....

Green Impact is 40/1 for the 2000 Guineas

Cant see any Cheltenham markets on there, I may have overlooked them though.

But for anyone wanting to back Green Impact, the 40/1 EW seems to be the best price in the market at the moment.

It was a tough watch though, horses pulling up left right and centre, I wonder if last week was looming on their minds

Pocket talk but Richie McLernon needs shooting for pulling up Walking on Air and taking out Spanish Harlem, it's happened before and it will happen again but the enquiry cleared his accepting the interference was accidental which isn't good enough for me...
