CESAREWITCH
it looks like the long time antepost Fav for the Cesarewitch may be out. Racing Post have put MR ADJUDICATOR as a non-runner in their Big Race Entries section, and half off the main Oddschecker bookies have removed the horse, and shortened some other key horses.

A few bookies still haven’t changed their market though, so a bit of price discrepancy on Oddschecker for a short time today between those who have removed Mr Adjudicator and those that haven’t.

365, Bet Victor, Ladbrokes/Coral and Unibet seem slow on the uptake.

Betfair/PaddyPower appear to have taken a drastic odds cut for SNEAKY GETAWAY, into 10/1, where the horse is 33/1 elsewhere. It’s trained by Emmet Mullins.

Always interesting when this firm shorten Irish runners in the UK. Took a bit of the 70/1 on the Exchange just in case the horse is coming over, and likely to drop in price. A bit high in the handicap compared to usual winners of the race so my stakes are light, given the high exchange price.

The horse does have an entry in the Irish Cesarewitch the next day.

Looks like Willie may be keeping Mr A at home then. Bound to be sending a few over to Newmarket given the prize money on offer.

All of the entries for the two days of Future Champions weekend at Newmarket are in.

It’s a meeting I look forward to, and therefore I’ve been keenly interested from 5-day decs onwards this week.

Having followed the going reports daily, the ground looks like it will be Good to Soft tomorrow, and the amount of rain due on Friday into Saturday may not move it from Good to Soft for Saturdays card.

I’ve a bit more study to do on Saturdays later races, but as it stands I will travel to the track on both days with the following horses in mind (either already backed, or to view in the paddock prior to making a final decision).

Friday

Race 1) Platinum Star
Race 2) Final Song

Godolphin go well in these late season cards, and have two strong chances to start Friday, so a double is on the cards, and maybe a treble with the shorty fav in Race 7).

Race 3) No Bet race

Race 4) No Bet race.
The Fillies Mile looks to be the outstanding fillies juvenile race of the year, with differing strands of unconnected form, and three unbeaten fillies, it’s a race to savour. I have an interest with LOVE already backed in the classics next year, so she is the one I want to break three unbroken winning records.

Race 5) RHYTHMIC INTENT backed at 15.3/1 price boosted with WH on Wednesday.
I always try to get bets on ASAP after final decs, as the risk is that one or more tipsters put up the selection, and the price disappears. This has happened with this horse this evening, Tom Segal and Sporting Life Value Bet have put this one up, but I already have him as a win bet plus 14/1 in a couple of yankees.

Race 6) No Bet race until I have seen these maiden 2yo’s in the pre-parade ring.

Race 7) Fanny Logan

Saturday

Race 1) TBC

Race 2) MISS YODA - another one that I got on early at 8/1, before final decs, on Wednesday. The tipsters followers may have ravaged her price this evening, 5/1 best. Fillies have a decent record from few runners, Gosden ran Coronet to win this 3 years ago after one run/win at Leicester and immediately declared the Musidora as a target en-route to the Oaks.
I think this could happen again. I have already backed Miss Yoda at 40/1 for the Oaks, and I will look to back her for the classic again if she wins we’ll on Saturday.

Race 3) Molatham has ducked the Dewhurst, and it may prove to be a winning decision. Will check out the race videos again on Friday to confirm the selection,

Race 4) No Bet race - watching my 30th Dewhurst on the bounce on Saturday, having been each year since Generous beat Bog Trotter in a photo, in a rain deluged bog in 1990. It’s the one race I won’t miss, whatever it clashes with. I’m really looking forward to seeing if Pinatubo can continue his dominance through to this season finale. It will take a hell of a performance to erase the Andre Fabre duo of Zafonic and Xaar from the top of my list of great Dewhurst performances.

Race 5) TIME TO STUDY 45/1, TIMOSHENKO 12/1, SNEAKY GETAWAY 70/1 all backed antepost, all shortened in recent days/weeks before drifting after final decs today. Happy that they all look like they will give me a run, the ground is fine, drawn well and wouldn’t swap them for the ones attracting money today. My preference has always been for Time To Study.

Race 6) No betting market up yet, but I am looking at SHOW STEALER for this. More video study tonight before final confirmation.

Race 7) DUNELIGHT all the way for Johnny G in the finale. No betting market yet, so will determine betting strategy when the market formed.

Finally......

I have a couple of other Away Bets in place too.

Sat 4.30pm Chepstow IMPERIAL AURA 16/1 - I have taken an antepost bet following 5-day decs on Monday, and the price has collapsed to 4/1. So it’s either good news and he gets declared tomorrow or sadness if he doesn’t. Position will be known at 11am tomorrow.

I have a couple of yankees backed on Thursday with three main selections and including two differing selections in the Munster National on a Sunday both trained by Eric McNamara.

Rhythmic Intent 14/1
Miss Yoda 7/1
Imperial Aura 6/1
With
Black Scorpion 12/1
and separately with
Internal Transfer 9/1.

Most of the work now done, looking forward to a rainy but enjoyable two days, and maybe a profitable one - if fortune is on my side.

I'm trying to hold on for the extra places in the cesarewitch having lost a good few quid on Mr Adjudicator ante post.

Mr Everest and Time For Study are the ones I like. Took a little 20/1 on Mr Everest tonight (win only) but will be backing both Friday night/Saturday morning.

Good write up. With you on Miss Yoda at 40's for Oaks. Very impressive first time up then battled for win on her next appearance. Can only get better the further she goes. Very classy filly and can win this to enhance her classic aspirations.

Looks like the weather forecast for Newmarket has worsened in the last few hours, with potential for rain throughout Friday and Saturday. Soft ground horses need to be considered once the racecourse updates its going report early on Friday. Good luck forumites.

I'd have thought it will end up as good to soft at least if the rain arrives . Lot's of flooding around there last weekend.

P.s , Iv'e gone with Platinum star and dream shot in the 1-50 , and Cayenne pepper and Quadrilateral in. the 3-35.

In the Ces.
I was looking at Time to Study and still may back that tomorrow.
But so far I've backed
Great Trango 50-1 1pt ew
Everest 20-1 1pt ew
Just like the galway form and the rain may mean National Hunt types do well.

also backed Eddystone Rock (owes me nothing) - bit sentimental but I thought for a while that this horse would improve the further it went and this is even further so you never know 25-1 1pt ew.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Skybet and PP both apply the extra places to bets already placed.
So you can avail of early prices after 48hr decs and they will alter the places (on your betslip) as soon as the offer goes up.
No need to wait if you want the early price.
I Doubt it's just my account.

Your comment had me doubting, but they've just done it again for me this week.

Ranch Hand form has took a couple of very nice boosts today.
Will be tough as a three year old to win tomorrow if it gets a lot softer.
Will add it with one or two of the short priced favourites at York in doubles.

I remembered your advice and tested the water this afternoon. Now have a betslip of 16/1, 8 places. Thanks for the advice, I would never have tried that without you giving the nod.

Well done on a your nice winner today. Really good work!

Cheers.
Feliciana de vega
B365 hanging the 10-1 out, and whilst I don't fancy it strongly. Have backed it as the money has come for it with some of the serious bookmakers. Most have it second favourite now.

Three for tomorrow.....can't see past Ranch Hand in CES. Looks thrown in on form, distance not a problem and could be a cup horse next year. Intisaab can win the big sprint at York. Won the race in 2016 off a higher mark and is 2lb better of for 2 1/4 length beating by Summerhand in the Ayr Gold Cup. Big price. The last horse is Miss Yoda against the geldings. Hugely impressive first time up and won cosily last time. Will appreciate the extra 2f being a daughter of Sea the Stars and looks a real Oaks fancy.

Final choices for Newmarket tomorrow.

Race 1) Ascension
Race 2) Miss Yoda
Race 3) Persia
Race 4) No Bet
Race 5) Ante Post bets on Time To Study 45/1, Timoshenko 12/1 and Sneaky Getaway 70/1.
Race 6) Show Stopper
Race 7) Dunelight

If the heavens have opened overnight or during Saturday morning and the early race times suggest softer than GS ground, then I will also look at
Race 6) Last Empire
Race 7) Dolphin Vista

The Ces is going to be a war of attrition given the ground so I've flip flopped on my selections. I want a NH horse as my main punt so Mr Everest is now by biggest winner, with a back up plan of Time to Study and Coer Blimey

Mr Everest 20/1 win, 16/1 8 places, 16/1 5 places and 14/1 7 places.
Time to Study 25/1 5 places, 22/1 7 places
Coer Blimey 45/1 7 places.

I've got a bit carried away in this race - lost ante post bets on Mr Adjudicator.

Intihaab also on my radar Lobo's.

I could easily have a bet in 10+ races today, really like the look of today. Easterby's horse at York looks a potential star so I'll be back him in the Rockingham and the fav in the first.

I think Al Suhail could turn into a Derby horse so I've taken 5/1 on him in the Autumn Stakes.

I didn't know that... that is very much worth knowing!
