I had a look at Mount Ida from a long way out as well, I just couldn't find anything other than her being with Elliott and at the time I thought he had more likely sorts.... (and a few of them)....

Still a fair price, given the Elliott factor.... however, she is one that if not trained by Elliott I'd have no interest in at all.... which is a kind of nonsense sentence :highly_amused:

To be honest, she wasn't one i had in mind for a festival handicap chase at all. I was surprised when she was mentioned and entered. I was thinking of something closer to home, mind you she's still in on Sunday as is RWF. Prize money very similar. Though, if my judgement's right she'll pop up in a big h'cap chase maybe not here.

HDB on Plan Of Attack - He ran really well in the Kim Muir last year and he’ll go for it again this year. His form this season hasn’t been great, but he seems in great form at the minute and I could see him bouncing back to form.

We reading anything into RWF being priced up fav for the race on Sunday? Personally I think he’d be shorter than 6/1 if an intended runner but not sure how much shorter
 
Some Gigginstown news. Kim Muir favourite Run Wild Fred and long-time Martin Pipe fancy Wide Receiver to miss Cheltenham.
RWF to wait for the Irish Grand National while WR out for the rest of the season through injury.

Jesus Christ that's a fucking sickener. Yesterday with LP and now today with this. Gonna suck watching all the previews hearing people moan about having backed him at short prices - I'm sitting here with a ripped up slip at 40's ffs! Sure lots of us in the same boat. Another reason to dislike the O'learys
 
Today I went through all my Cheltenham bets to pick out my NAP of the meeting. Reading my notes on why I had the bet in the first place I came to HOLD THE NOTE in the Kim Muir. It is rare for me to say go in again nearer the time so I re-checked the form and reasoning. In my opinion this horse deserves my NAP. Absolutely thrown in on hurdle form and last years fez form (just check the first hurdle run at Cheltenham) and was always going to be a better chaser.

Take the run at the fez last year when third to Imperial Aura (143 now 163)with Galvin (142 now 152) second giving both of these weight rated 145. After this run it's form was not so good but o.k. Then at xmass the horse had a wind op and a break of 57 days he then returned to Newbury last month to run a close second to Enrilo (a well thought of Nicholls horse) seeing the race out really well indicating the wind op had clearly worked. Running to the form of his novice days imo. He now runs here off a mark of 140, yes 140.

This looks to me like a plan, get the mark down (done), Wind op (done), go back to the fez and win this time? run on decent ground (o.k.)

Am more than confident of a good run in this race and is my NAP of the meeting.

I like him too Mr X and he is my pick now. Only slight worry I have is him quite seeing out the trip.
 
Thats not great news, thankfully cashed in my bets on RWF, and then backed again NRNB, no such luck with Wide reciever, backed with WH any race at 25s ages ago. :sour:
