Think I'm going to cash him out, he beat a 135 rated horse by 20 lengths two runs back then finished 19 1/2 lengths ahead of a 136 horse next time out, so the form looks consistent. He finished only 1 3/4 lengths behind Eklat De Rire in the G3, and that one is likely to be mid to high 150's, and Escaria Ten himself ran to an RPR of 155. Now absolutely zero chance he gets into the Kim Muir. He'll get more than 5lbs IMO.
 
It dosent help that every idiot on twitter is putting that hes the best handicapped horse of all time, when hes due to be re-asessed. Pretty dumb stuff imo.

And pretty clear what will now happen.

I don't think there's any confusion. It's pretty obvious that rating doesn't include Sunday.
 
On reflection Escaria Ten is no way 140 horse we all agree on after Sunday's race. I jumped on the 16/1 for this race and have now cashed out. My thoughts now are he will be over 145 when Sunday's race is assessed.
 
Id be fairly confident thats not his mark

He beat ministerforsport who is 129 by 20 lengths

So that 140 is surely his mark for that run not after Sunday where he should surely be higher

On the assumption that ESCARIA TEN was only entered for Musselburgh on Monday at 10am, and not on the radar of the BHA Handicapper until that point - then it seem entirely sensible that the BHA would have handicapped him including the Irish race on Sunday.............why would they ignore it?

For local UK races they specifically handicap Saturday to Saturday, but thats for UK races only.

For these Irish entries they are surely basing it on all of their form.

Pencilfulloflead did give the front two 8lbs on Sunday, and it was only a Grade3.

Escaria Ten's RPR for the race was 155, which is the same RPR that he was given for his win on 20th December.

So the Racing Post ratings boys don't think he improved from his race before Christmas, maybe the BHA Handicapper thinks the same.

I think he is very underrated on 140, but maybe the BHA handicapper is right. :apple:

I think that the Wide Receiver is very underrated at 130 Ireland and 136 UK as well, but they think otherwise.

But he's not eligible to run in the race having not had 3 runs.
It seems obvious it doesn't include Sunday.

And he wouldn't have taken into account any UK runners who'd entered Monday, based on any runs they'd had on the Sunday either, unless they won.

If it included Sunday why was he taken out of the Musselburgh race?
 
Might massively regret it but I've cashed out Escaria Ten for this. Don't like all the confusion and feel like 365 could suspend cash out at any time. Worst case scenario I'll just re-back him at a lower price, not the end of the world.

Speaking of Escaria Ten, into 6/4 in Sky's win any race market. Thought I was looking at the place market by accident, but nope... :glee:
