Fulke Walwyn KIM MUIR Challenge Cup Amateur Riders Handicap

The Irish (well some of) have been making a mockery of the marks given to them by the UK handicapper for several seasons now though?
It's not specific to the last year.
Presenting Percy, A Plus Tard a couple off the top of my head.
There's always the odd one or two hard done by stories but on the whole they haven't gone mad the last few years.
I personally don't see this year being one where they hike up the Irish runners significantly.

I thought that the Irish handicapper issued updates on Monday afternoon. Where were the new marks for Coko Beach and Run Wild Fred published?

On the Irish handicap official site.
I was surprised too.
maybe he had the day spare cos of abandoning fairyhouse

Not for the first time now for SBH. Not that I've mentioned him at all :devilish::highly_amused:

:friendly_wink:Any concern about no entries/lack of a run since early December. Hopefully an egg and spoon maiden chase in February.
I went back in again after todays run by EDR, 33/1 still with B365. Only have 2 handicaps covered so far as I usually wait for wider NRNB and entries before getting too involved

Yeah, no entries or nothing. Can look at it a couple of ways I guess, either they think he's well in off his current mark so don't want to risk losing it or worst case, he has an issue of some sort.

Hopefully the former.

Was just looking at Livelovelaugh randomly, who is a 'he', I thought he was a she all my life?! (Not that this horse has come into my life very often, but been to about 4 festivals already so I'm surprised I didn't know that) He went off 16/1 with Patrick Mullins on in this race in 2019. That surprises me....as I didn't think any Willie/Patrick combo would go off that big this race

....so I had a look.....

2009 - no runner
2010 - no runner
2011 - 14/1 - Pomme Tiepy (5th) (Katie Walsh)
2012 - 8/1 - Up The Beat (4th) (Patrick)
2013 - 12/1 - Vesper Bell (7th) (Patrick)
2014 - 9/1 - Balnaslow (4th) (Patrick)
2015 - no runner
2016 - 14/1 - Sambremont (8th) (Patrick)
2017 - no runner
2018 - no runner
2019 - 16/1 - Livelovelaugh (12th)- (Patrick)
2020 - 40/1 - Cabaret Queen (15th) (Patrick rode Fitzhenry instead for a different trainer)

Thought I'd post this thought to try and remind me that I probably don't need to try and spot a Willie Mullins plot for this race ante post to eek out the value or potential shortener, as there just might not be one!

Jerrysback has taken my eye. Nice 3rd yesterday from 599 days off. Hopefully gets left on 142.

Word of warning Pik
I got a copy of Mark Howards February update yesterday. He quotes Philip Hobbs
"The plan for Jerrysback has always been the Racing Post chase" race on 27th Feb.

Yep plus Hobbs does not like this horse running left handed.
