Foxhunter Chase 2020

Fair price but I've never been convinced by the horse. Managed to get into the 150s without winning anything of note and not sure he's ever really wanted 3 miles let alone 3m 2f around Cheltenham.

VF, probably trying the Pacha Du Polder method of never winning beyond 2M4&1/2F, before winning the Foxhunters twice.

In fact PDP never won over more than 2M4&1/2F (under rules) except for those two Foxhunters wins.

WH have crashed the price in for Art Mauresque for Any Race in to 14/1 from 25/1. I hope those of us that wanted to get on at 25’s are responsible for moving that price. :applause:

WH also priced Art Mauresque at 14/1 for the Foxhunters as well.

Yep fair enough, although PDP went hunter chasing as a less exposed animal and built up a few promising runs over staying trips before finally winning this as a 10yo. Art Mauresque is 10 already and has been knocking around in handicap chases since 2015 showing little propensity for wanting this sort of test. As I say 25s is fair enough if you want to take the chance that he will simply have too much class for most in this division, but he's not one for me.

Just seen your most recent message re the price change... definitely not for me now at 14s!

VF, who is your main pick for this, at this early stage?

Stand Up And Fight is the one I'm keen to get on side and I'm waiting for an entry before taking the 16s. He was given a nice sighter of things last year by DOC when (if I remember correctly) Enda had said something along the lines of the horse being a work in progress. Something was clearly amiss when favourite at Punchestown afterwards and I'm certain he's got more to offer this year if back in good shape. In recent years both PDP and On The Fringe have come back to win this after running promisingly in previous renewals.

I've seen somewhere else that the trainer has said that the target is the Aintree Foxhunters rather than Cheltenham version.

HH didn’t run.. shatou flyer just won from green winter

If anyone is kind enough to get Hills to add Captain Cattistock to their any race market I'd be most grateful!

VF sad to say he was listed at 33/1 when you mentioned him last week. Was personally contemplating getting involved when the horse was removed from the market/suspended. I assume as they received a bit of money on him or saw his entry this week. Been caught out a couple of times with these hills any race prices going quickly, not like Laddies/Coral last season, probably why they haven’t offered this market this year

Bugger. Thanks for the info RC. Have to admit I didn't check as I wanted a bit more certainty they were taking this route before going in (he's talented and progressive enough to go for some decent handicaps). Noticed this morning he's now jocked up for tomorrow's race so would have taken the plunge.

Very interesting runner at Taunton tomorrow with this race in mind.

Wishing and Hoping. Like the look of some of his form, particularly the 25 length win over Ballyoker Bridge.

I watched that race, and looked him up, but the rating and his price (20's) put me off.
But I might actually back him tomorrow.

Same trainer as Hazel Hill. Very interesting.

Took 22/1 as he jumped the last with William Hill.

What an absolute weapon!

still 20's now with hills
