The captain of the Day Two Fat Jockey Yankee is:

Jonnymac05

You are in complete control of the yankee. Your decision is final. If you want to do win only, each way, get people to vote, pick it all youself, pick ones with nice colours - it's all fine. (As long as they're all running on the Wednesday)

YOU decide. We follow.

Deadline for the yankee is Sunday 8th March, 18:00 (to allow everybody time to get on)

Well done Jonnymac05, make us some money :p

If he makes it Stratum has the hallmark of a Bloomy/Mullins plot in the Coral Cup....

Thanks everyone. Im super excited to be a captain.
Lets get everyones input and decide should we go for the ew angle or go straight win. Throw up big priced horses, shorter ones bankers and hopefully we make a bit of money on it.

Potentially a tough day for prices with EA, TR, AI and top 3 in QMCC quite short
Could call for a live changing ew punts for RSA, Coral & Boodles with a shorter price one?

Probably the hardest day for value IMO, as I expect plenty of shorter priced ones come in, at least that would be the hope anyway :highly_amused:

Langer Dan for the Boodles if you're looking at putting up an E/W Yankee would be my idea of a bet to go in it.

I'd currently have Minella Indo down as a solid day 2 yankee option. With doubts around the destination of Allaho, Copperhead and BOD the race is at risk of not being very deep. MI has proven quality, festival winning form and has been trained for the race all season. 4/1 remains appealing.

Yeah ive come around to minella indo in the last couple of days

Happy to have Minella indo in too .

If going EW I would suggest
The Big Getaway for Ballymore
Champagne Classic for RSA we should know by then 8th of March
Tremwedge for Boodles

Up to you boss!

The Envoi Allen, Champ, Tiger Roll, Appreciate It short priced yankee will make it into plenty of people's plans I reckon :highly_amused:

Defi, Altior or Chacun could slot in :dejection:

I agree with the shorter prices being on the Wednesday, so I am leaning towards an EW Yankee, however I am also open to mixe=ing bigger prices with the shorter and aim for a return.
I am a huge fan also of Minella Indo and as I have read on the forum so are a lot of the forumites.

Keep the suggestions coming..........

Two to take on the favs with:

Ballymore - The Big Breakaway @ 8/1
RSA - Copperhead @ 8/1

I’ll suggest 4 horses I strongly think will win on the day:

Ballymore - Envoi Allen
RSA - Easy Game
QMCC - CPS
Boodles - Tronador

The big breakaway
Minella indo
Birchdale
Langer dan

Yeah, don't do the shorty, I already done that bet a couple of weeks back, so it's a sure fire loser :highly_amused:

I'm with you on Minella Indo.

The Coral Cup has plenty to choose from, I suspect you'll be better off deciding on that race nearer the day if of course you choose to have one from it, same with the Boodles.

No harm in mixing a shorty or two with a couple of big prices either :encouragement:

Definitely agree with this

Ok so thats that settled then, we will do an EW Yankee but mixing 2 bigger prices and 2 "shorter" prices, or if there is 3 bigger prices that we all fancy will do well then we will just throw 1 shorter one in.

I agree that doing a win yankee on Day 2 with the shorties is pointless as I am sure every man and their dog is gong to be doing them anyway. :encouragement:
