Defi Du Seuil is my pick for Gold Cup Day.............. unless Charli ends up here but i feel they will stick to the supreme for him. think best price is 5/2 so a bit of value for a win yankee
Ivanovich Gorbatov @20/1 for the County has gone right under the radar. I would keep an eye on this one.
Could not agree more LR, looks like a plot job, but he is way way shorter in the Coral market, might he go there? If he was guaranteed for this i would be doubling up with forum horse western ryder for a monster payout
just watched DDS last race back and yeah his jumping was sloppy and horrendous but my goodness he has some high cruising speed. hopefully 6 weeks of pure schooling will brush that up.
but on a positive loves Cheltenham 3 out of his last 3 at course. 111. so loves that hill
I assume you mean his Chepstow win ?
I thought his Cheltenham win on trials day was close to faultless
That's the thing, if MTOY is confirmed for this his price will contract and he'll end up shorter than TNO, at the moment we know the Twisters horse goes for the CH, no guarantees have been given about Hendo's charge.
It'll all look different in 3 weeks...
The gold cups such a tough one to call. If people make good enough arguments for 4 other races then I will be well inclined to leave it out and let us all enjoy
With better ground I can see Bapaume turning round the Spring Juvenile form with Mega Fortune. DDS there to be got at, I know he has an some engine but his jumping is just not good enough (so far) to win a Triumph! I will throw Bapaume a shout at 12/1 ew.
Good shout.
And I will second that. I really like Bapaume, he's consistent, jumps well, and on better ground he actually has the better of Mega Fortune in the form book TWICE already.
DDS is running on a Rolls Royce 6.0L V12...his jumping is much better than people give him credit for, he has Cheltenham form, nothing will be catching him up the hill. Is the absolute banker of the week that's a reasonable price as long as CP goes to the Supreme. Any other bet in the triumph you're playing for place money only IMO!
Ground ..all form on softish ?
2 wins on soft, 1 win on good. The ground will surely be at fastest good to soft come the Friday won't it?
Perhaps the biggest concern is nothing has had DDS off the bridle yet, so what he finds when he needs to is an unknown but I'm not sure what could take him off the bridle bar CP

What makes you think CP is able to after one run?
Also, many won't back a horse like Carter McKay for the bumper because he's not had to battle for victory at the price he is, so at a similar price I don't see how DDS is an attractive bet, he may be the world beater he has looked beating average opposition, only time will tell, but not for me at that price.
Bapaume and Mega Fortune have raced in some tough races and on better ground Bapaume has come out on top twice, now the ground at Cheltenham come March may be soft if we have some rain leading up to the Friday, in which case it will be in DDS & Mega Fortunes favours, but if not I think the battle hardened and consistent Bapaume will be a lot closer than people seem to think.
