If you’re going to win a national off 165
youd be going close in a gold cup.

No sense to run in cross country IMO
think the people that matter know that.

more of a project for next season I’d imagine

…..I’ve heard GE mentioning Galvin as a ‘future Grand National horse’ which suggests to me it’s not part of the plans for this season.

I don't think he'd win a National off 160, let alone 165! Those Down Royal ratings :glee:

Let Galvin do the talking. I suspect he'll travel well for a long way and then class will prevail. I'll hold my hands up if I'm wrong, it happens :beaten:

The XC route makes plenty of sense to 'the people that matter'. They'll know 165 is an inflated rating and in the above eventuality he'd end up 0/2 taking on better horses in a Gold Cup, and then weighted to the hilt in the National - sounds a bit shit. The XC route would give them a shot at a festival winner, and, would make Galvin's burden of carrying top weight in the National a little easier through a gentler prep.

I think it could go either way. Hope APT batters him now :very_drunk:

If Asterion wins the KG, I'd be amazed if he went ryanair vs the gold cup.
Willie almost certain to try him in the big one.

I'd be surprised Q. He has always talked about Kempton being an easy 3m and more likely to suit rather than 3m2f around the New Course at Cheltenham.

If he won king George he’d go for the gold cup
no doubt about it
he has no others really and loves the race

If he wins at Kempton and is then entered into The Ryanair Chase or not at all at Cheltenham can I quote this back to you?? :couple_inlove:

Quite happy if AF goes Gold Cup as long as he takes Minella Indo ,A Plus Tard and the rest out of the race when he swerves violently right and leaves Galvin to come home alone to bring in my Life changer Yankee.

Yep. I'd be amazed if they gave the other race a second thought. They just shouldn't, and wouldn't.

Absolutely
he’ll be entered in both of course
but he’ll run in gold cup
got to win king George first though

Superb effort as always gents - throughly enjoyed this one! Have put AF & Kemboy in a few doubles and roll-ups ahead of March.
Particularly liked the Alfa Mix & Minella Melody shouts too, they’ve gone into a couple of “life changers”.
Merry Christmas to the Forum - hopefully everyone smashes the Festive period :victorious:
