Fat Jockey - Day Four Festival Yankee - Captain is quevega

With you on Commander Of Fleet. Solid a looking bet as I think you could find tbh.

I'd be with Pic D'Orhy IF he turns up and thinks he should also be included, as you don't have to make a decision just yet you will know in plenty of time.

Of the others on the Friday I like Bellshill (GC), Caid Du Berlais (Foxhunters), Malaya & Ivanovich Gorbatov (County), and slowly working my way through the Grand Annual & Martin Pipe.

I like Wonder laish in the county beat off you go at Fairyhouse fair and square think they were just stretching the legs last time at DRF usually put him in the race but was happy sat out the back think it will be different come Cheltenham

Yep, like this one myself, but we'll see what the weights are as trainer won't run it if he's not happy.
If he is then it's got a great chance.
People were mentioning champion hurdle a few weeks back (not me mind )

My worry with him is I watched the point to point he was beaten in (by Fennos' Storm), and he was travelling so well and cruised up to Fenno's who'd been ridden for a furlong, and when asked to go past and win his race he responded with nothing and Fennos' ended up winning going away. Wouldnot bode well for this race with the hill and all that.

I'd want a good excuse as to why that happened.

And this season we have 2 very good (ex handicappers) in Ucello Conti and Shantou Flyer in the race, and they're available at similar if not slightly bigger prices.

But open to persuasion as always

Ucello Conti at a bigger price than SUAF looks fair. No expert in that Hunter Chase field BUT losing to a rag doesn't scream Festival Winner to me!

Whereas UC is more solid and I know him :highly_amused:

The Gordy fav in the Pipe is going to win that isn't he?

3/1 by the Sunday though :p

Whiskey Sour that Pat Mullins just mentioned is a possibility for this day.
REmembering how it smoothly went from last to first last year.
waiting a bit longer and better ground might help this horse.

All over Whiskey Sour like a rash, as discussed on the County thread, its a yes from me.

Can't have Dallas in last race archie.
It's got to be

Robin de Carlow.

Tell me she's running ?

Willie is doing a first cut for the handicaps next week. I get the feeling that they're unhappy with the UK mark. There's a G3 (?) race for her at Limerick just after Cheltenham. My view is that she needs 2m4f minimum and the word 'good' somewhere in the going description.

I like all of these Too Kev !!, Definite multi for me .Maybe put Delta work in too- super yankee.

Solid selections in there.
Wouldn’t want erec though if he goes 4/6 by next Sunday

I don't know whether to laugh or cry, as that is probably better than some of my actual yankee's :p

I've backed it. Too funny :highly_amused:

Stiff task finding a better yankee than that.
