Chelters 2016 Antepost bets

PP are like all the others LR, 22p on a lucky 63 is humiliating for a bookmaker, they should be ashamed.
I wish some of these bookies would just leave the market and focus permanently on ruining the lives of addicts who can't help spin a wheel online, they don't apply restrictions to those customers.
The industry needs bookmakers willing to play their part before every bet that's struck is via the exchanges or illegal Indian/Chinese bookies....

You are spot on there Ista. I got a friend that lost £100k in a year playing the online slots and it was his inheritance money. Now he has stopped they keep phoning and texting him and credit his account(s) with £100 etc. They should be ashamed of what they are doing as it could lead to some people committing suicide.

Anyway, 365 are still the best. I am still able to get £100-£200 on 20/1+ shots.

Betfair Sportsbook were very quick to limit me. PP might be using their risk management software now ?

Bellshill @ 16/1 AB

Tombstone @ 14/1 2m
A Toi Phil @ 10/1 2m 4f
Gangster @ 14/1 3m
Patent, 7 bets * £2.00 EW

Gangster is a bit under the radar. He won in Listowel in September putting After Rain (beaten pierse hurdle favourite) in his place. Might be better on soft but a good call I think.

"After race at Fairyhouse Sat, 19th Dec, 2015 (1st) He loves that trip and ground and he's a horse with a lot of stamina. He'll continue to pursue those types of races, and hopefully he's good enough to go for the Albert Bartlett. He has the speed to win over two miles which a lot of three-mile horses don't have. Right after todays news I'm looking at alternative bets, i lost a few ante post wagers on Faugheen but nothing to break the bank, luckily I hadn't yet done my day 1 4 fold which i was going to have a fair bit on, now I'm looking at a £5 win heinz for £285 which consists of Min, Douvan, Arctic fire, Annie power in the mares, Un De Sceaux and Thistlecrack which returns £5500, I'm looking at doing this now and risking the fact that annie does run in the mares, shes around 5/4 right now, if she does run she's never going off at that price, i've been tempted to substitute her for Limini, but i just don't know if Limini is value at odds on of 4/5, the blunt question being, is she that good???

If it was me I'd probably let the dust settle before going in again.
4 weeks remain between now and the the race and as all Faugheen, Ar Mad and Killultagh Vic backers (amongst others) know things can get ugly quickly.

I'm trying not to go on tilt and throw good money after bad.

Had one bet tonight on Tara Point and I'll be keeping my powder dry until next Friday night, when B365 usually go NRNB on all races.

You could be right in maybe giving it some time but fortunately I haven't bitten the proverbial bullet just yet, Faugheen cost me a few low stake speculative accas and Killultagh vic a couple of £11 yankees, i'm just wanting to try and take advantage of the situation, as i said I believe annie is set for the mares in which case 5/4 is massive, and no way can i see the CH favourite going off at 7/2 which Arctic fire currently is and most likely will be a 2/1 if not less favourite on the day, especially if min and douvan go in before hand for the trainer and ruby

Gjt - you can have 7/2 with paddy on Annie for the mares race so don't take the 5/4. Though I wouldn't be backing her in the mares myself - maybe let the dust settle.

Thanks for the heads up I wasn't aware she was that big elsewhere, you know i had written annie of for the CH but I mistakenly forgot about the 7lb allowance she would receive, on form she wins the CH right now, something would ultimately have to step up on current form and ratings to beat her should they stump up the £20,000 for it, say she does where would that then leave Vroum Vroum Mag, does she take her place in the mares or go for the ryan air, i really wanted to see her back over fences

Mullins told At The Races: "We could certainly get her supplemented for the Champion Hurdle. I haven't spoken to the owner yet but I think it must be on the cards."

Tomorrow's Racing Post headline is "Faugheen OUT, Annie Power IN - star mare set to replace him in Champion Hurdle."

Add to that Paddys are 7/2 Annie for the world & I think it's highly likely she'll be in the Champion.

Fir me VVM will be the replacement to Annie in the mares race. I think the run at Ascot the other week was to confirm that against the likes of Aurora D'estruval - which at the time was the closest challenger (betting wise) to AP. Beating her will have given them confidence that They could win the mares race with VVM and look at options for Annie - of course just my opinion (could be wrong !)

So after i've come to terms with the Faugheen news yesterday, around 70% of my antepost bets are down the drain. I was searching last night to try and find some value in some of the bigger races and have had a £2ew yankee on the following:

Augusta Kate @ 12/1 - Champion Bumper
Long Dog @ 12/1 - Neptunes
Ma Filleule @ 20/1 - Ryan Air
Blaklion @ 10/1 - RSA Chase

Returns over £100k for the 4 wins. Praying they all run now!!! :highly_amused:

So after the news of Faugheen has started to settle in and i've had to rip up around 70% of my antepost bets, I spent majority of last night looking at some longer odds in some tougher races. I've ended up having £2ew yankee on the following:

Augusta Kate @ 12/1 - Champion Bumper
Long Dog @ 12/1 - Neptunes
Blaklion @ 10/1 - RSA
Ma Filleule @ 20/1 - Ryan Air.

It pays over £100k for the 4 wins. I guess that will have to do :D

The Mullins/Ricci festival could fall apart if current rumours prove correct, too many horses with the wrong prep, and wrong target, seems very unproffessional, not to mention the ones that haven't really established themselves through form, just reputation. Maybe it will come good for them but I can see Faugheen being the tip of the iceberg, I think I'll keep my powder dry on all this combos horses until things become clearer, then decide if I want to back or lay them, I'm like plenty on this forum with several juicy looking prices on Douvan and Min that are now worthless, I'm not going to rush into alternatives that are panic choices, or ones rerouted from targets that they've been trained for.

Same as that, and not a lot to be done now.

I intend to just suck it up for this year, and just do a couple multiples on the week of the festival.

Agree with the thoughts above, however I've noticed a lot of the banker attention is now transferred to Thistlecrack.

I'm very bearish on the Ricci horses outside of Douvan right now. I usually have one big bet (for my stakes) at the Festival and this year it looks like something in a double with Thistlecrack. Considered No More Heroes until I read Jonjo's comments on More Of That.
