Cheltenham Preview Nights 2018

Can I let you know that a few standing tickets remain available for Monday 12th at Cheltenham Town Football Club.

The panel is Davy Russell, Tom Bellamy, ATR pundit Ed "Longshot Ted" Quigley , Jerry McGrath and Skybet's Michael Shinners. Skybet are offering a free £5 bet to every attendee and also £400 in bets (4 x £50 / 2 x £100) to be raffled.

With the runners for Day 1 and 2 cast in stone come Monday evening the panel will steer attendees in the right direction. It's always a great night.

Call 07702 895 428 for tickets. Thanks, Mark

Perhaps someone should ask the question to preview panels what's with the Gutless British trainers pulling horses from "The Olympics of Racing" Kim Bailey another culprit today. I haven't seen Samcro,Getabird,Next Destination etc scratched from any races because they're minding those horses.......sigh.

Kim Bailey could walk Vinndication to the start from his training HQ. Once a small-time trainer.............................

Always the option of pressing the cross in the top right and then you don't have to be so upset guys...

Moaning for the sake of moaning :highly_amused:

Moaning?! Just passing an opinion Kev. Poor Barry looks bemused.

I understand your frustration, and I kind of agree with you (kinda).
But it had no chance anyway.

Was 'painful' a compliment? :p

Poor Barry, I agree.... I don't think they'd have "picked" Barry for this.... obviously it's because he does the blogs for ATR. I think they said he'd be pretty confused by the whole thing on one of the podcasts :very_drunk:

I actually missed the first 5 minutes so no idea what you are both on about haha

Not entitled to an opinion? What are you doing if you are not moaning about my post? Someone touched a nerve?

Not wishing to defend anyone but it's worth noting that Cheltenham is the most unique racecourse in the country, continuous undulations unbalance a number of horses and if connections think their horse won't show their true ability at the track it makes no sense to run them there when there are big pot available at track that might suit.
No-one knows a horse better than their trainer...

Have your opinion of course, my opinion is that your opinion wasn't worth mentioning...as you don't have to watch it :p

It is like me watching Eastenders, then going on a forum and saying I don't like Eastenders?

Was only tongue in cheek, if it was more interesting I wouldn't have the forum loaded up at the same time :highly_amused:

Absolutely Ista. It seems to get forgotten all too often unfortunately.

Bazza certainly isn't getting paid by the word is he

They get it wrong sometimes though. and they have to be guessing to some extent if the horse has never ran there.

What I've taken from some of these previews is the undoubted influence of some of the owners, reading between the lines I'm pretty certain that G Elliott would go Supreme for Samcro. I'm sure he could go through the other entries and be pretty confident of beating them, and he would tell you that's not as certain for the Ballymore. He would also like to get one in the bag early. It's gigginstown that want ballymore not gordon. But what can he say really ?
I also think he said his biggest mistake was not entering Apple's jade for the irish champion as he could have used that to justify a shot/persuade the olearys for the champion hurdle. Sure he'd want that on his CV.
Obviously he's been told where Dounikos goes as well.
And Monalee would be JLT if it was up to the trainer.
There only seems to be Willie who can twist his owners this way and that.
Ricci said that willie wanted to run all three mares in the mares hurdle, but ricci said no, next day Vrooum vroum mag worked bad and retired. Genius.

Doesn’t the story go that most of Elliot’s yard are on Samcro for the Ballymore antepost?

RW: Yorkhills best form has been in Cheltenham. I’m trying to pick which of the 4 to ride. Hard to desert Faugheen but they’ll all struggle to beat the favourite.
