Can't see Percy running on Friday. If he does and he wins he's a near certainty in March.

Taken the 'working back from Cheltenham' a little too seriously?

He has had a run outside of open company though already, perhaps more forward than other novices would usually be?

Not really what anyone wants though, should be running. He's get a bit of a pass for losing anyway in the eyes of plenty (certainly more-so than other horses would, because the majority have convinced ourselves only 15th March matters for him this year...)

I can't really get a handle on this race, I do think last years RSA runners seem the mostly likely candidates.
Iv backed waiting patiently for this as if he wins tomorrow he'll be near favourite and with NRNB its a no brainer, just tying up a bit of money.

Because of the ground / going archie ? , or another reason , I'm starting to get a bit nervous about P.P.,.

Just the ground. Already good and unlikely to be much worse by Friday.

Are any courses thinking of watering to give themselves soft?
Can’t be good for business so many horses dodging the first part of the season

Clan des obeaux 20/1 still with hills any race.

Clan Des Obeaux isn't a Gold Cup horse is he?

From memory (and this is just memory), but Paul Nicholls has said flatter tracks suit him, and I have a niggle that he said that when asked if CDO was a Cheltenham horse.

Won nicely today but that form isn't that impressive is it? Thistlecrack hasn't won since the King George 2016? Native River clearly not suited to the track, Politilogue hasn't stayed, Might Bite looks a busted flush and the unexposed danger got brought down.

Irish horses wouldn't be overly worried about what the English have to offer this season.

Nah, but can get a freeroll :)

He is a gold cup horse now. Travelled beautifully. Certainty he goes for the gold cup now.
Gold cup horses don't last long as we've seen.

I know he'll go for it, I just mean he's not my idea of the winner of it.

I didn't want the 20s so no chance I'll be backing him either.

He's just fine. I'm not saying 20s isn't value either, just not one I'm interested in for the Gold Cup

You can read that form any way to suit your own opinion
He’s also beaten 2 x King George winners, 2 x Gold Cup winners, last years Aintree Bowl and Melling Chase winners, last years 2nd and the 3rd in the KG

Who else could he realistically have beaten?

Percy :devilish:

Native River has run a perfectly decent race there as well. Let’s see what the Irish throw up in the Savills. Shattered Love looks the value at ante-post prices.
