Cheltenham 2020 - Ante post bets

Never seen this 'special' before:

Of the 2019 Cheltenham Festival winners still in training, how many will win at Cheltenham 2020?

5/2 - Three

5/2 - Four

4/1 - Two

4/1 - Five

8/1 - Six

10/1 - One

16/1 - Seven

25/1 - Zero

33/1 - 8+

I'll add the list of last years winners still in training in a few mins

As a mug I’ll back 7 and 8 plus

Just watched the course walk between Ruby and Lydia. Well worth a watch if you want to understand the differences between the New and Old courses and a fascinating insight into how Ruby rode his races tactically. I’m sure I’ve heard another jockey (McCoy perhaps) suggest that he wanted to make up ground on the downhill sections but Ruby paints a much different picture. Suspect jockeys all have different tactics but to hear this from an undisputed master of his craft was riveting and has made me much more aware of the importance of the jockey on top. Ruby always struck me as quite a controlled sort but to hear his excitement but also him in reflective mood gave me much more of an insight into him as a jockey and as a man.
Hope others enjoy as much as I did if you take the time to watch!
PS. The ground didn’t look bad whenever that was filmed!

I watched it yesterday and it was fascinating. Ruby knows every blade of grass at Prestbury Park and any jockey that's riding next week would be well advised to sit and watch that over and over again.

Anyone got the link for it ? Or point me in the direction of what website and I’ll find it

It was this week's road to Cheltenham episode on Racing TV. Should be on their website.

of course :encouragement:

:applause:

It's obviously not going to cop, 3 winners from 3 runners?

I couldn't help it though as I've backed all 3 individually

Almost time for next years to be fired up!

The Big Breakaway at 40/1 stands out although this years AB group looks special, will also be looking out for Dior Kiel for the RSA
