Cheltenham 2020 - Ante post bets

He should be way too good for the fred winter if they decide to go to cheltenham, cant see him campaigned that way

Can’t find the Any race thread but bet365 have expanded their market to double digit horses

Saint D'Oroux of Munir & Souede could be their Fred Winter horse as they look to have a lot of ammo. Crazy saying that in November though.

Gordon elliott stable tour interview (randomly half way down the greatrex article)

I think Champagne Classic has surprised him a little bit and he was keen to stress RSA or 4 miler (whereas before it was just the latter). Good to hear BOD didn't eat or drink before Cheltenham last year, makes putting a line through any Cheltenham concerns easy enough. Shame he didn't ask about Malone Road. Perhaps I am imaging things but Gordon didn't sound like his usual self in that interview. Quite short with GOB, seemed in a rush (perhaps he was cornered at the bottom of the stairs :))

Too many excuses being given for Battleoverdoyen. Haven't we already had a lost shoe and the course not suiting him?

If he didn't drink or eat up it was irresponsible to run him and, unless they bring him over beforehand for another meeting you don't know that it won't happen again.

- outside the lavs

He always seems a bit short to me. (not just in height)
He even shortens four letter words to three.
like Beat to Bet.:highly_amused:

Son of Camas - could be worth adding to a few markets, bumper, supreme, ballymore, any race ?

Henderson bumper winner yesterday at Newbury (he often sends one he likes to that race).
He also sent this one to Punchestown for the land rover bumper also (it finished tailed off, but he wouldn't have sent it if it wasn't well thought of)
And finally he mentions it as a dark horse/one to watch in the latest interview he gave earlier this week with one of the small betting firms.
Paz247 put it up (the notes from the interview) on the triumph thread.

found it............

Looks the part and showed ability at home, so we went for the Land Rover Bumper at Punchestown, but he was disappointing. I still have enormous faith and will be disappointed if he’s not a high-class novice hurdler, then chaser. He’s working very well.

I believe they’ve actually just posted the Racing Post stable tour as opposed to an actual interview.

An obvious one but will be keeping a close eye on Tower Bridge in the 15:25 at Naas tomorrow. Currently rated 141 over fences. Could run and would be of interest in any handicap at the festival. 5th in the Albert Bartlett and 2nd in last seasons Close Brothers. I feel he hasn't quite showed his true hand over fences having yet to run over 3 miles and with come fairly classy hurdles form including that 5th in the AB, 3rd at Aintree behind Santini and Roksana and a grade 1 win at the Dublin racing festival.

If the 14.40 was a qualifier for the Pertemps Handicap Hurdle at the Festival then I think the Skeltons are planning a plot with Diomede Des Mottes. They had every chance to go and win that race and did the minimum to finish 2nd and not pass the winner. One to be noted

I think the horse was responsible for that finish (or lack of it) - not the jockey and trainer.

I just re-watched it and Harry Skelton did use the whip more than I first noticed so yeah the horse didn’t respond with much

Started a thread for any handicap plots TKM, no harm in looking this far out :)

Had a cheeky 5er on the trebles and accum.
Fly Smart 25-1
Melon 10-1
Klassical Dream 7-2
BDD - 9-4

Hoping its about 25-1 on the day :D
