Cheltenham 2020 - Ante post bets

Now they were the golden days when you were allowed multiples on the any race market!

Out of interest are 365 offering cash out this far out on 2020 bets?

I guess I could have 50p on something and find out myself! But I don't get involved until September earliest as a rule.

:)

It isn't available in the one bet I've placed with them for next year. It was the same at this stage last season for me.

Bet365 everytime, I can't believe they still allow cashout.

I backed an Alan King 3yo for the Triumph a couple of seasons back around September time and in the New Year found it was not even in training for NH and so cashed out.

I would take 12-1 365 over 20s with WH any day, if it wins, great, but that cashout is priceless.
In fact I closed my WH account to stop me being tempted.

I can't get my head round that.

You'd take 40% less at this stage of the season? If you're willing to do that, it shouldn't be a bet imo.

Can you remember when it kicked in? I'm struggling to place it. I could probably work it out trawling through my spreadsheet though

Definitely has a point here Redbridge, it seems like you're almost inclined to cash it out already?

I can't remember Kev, my first bet of Cheltenham with them last year was Ballyward and there was no cash out available until the back end of the year. I'd guess at October time

I have 5 doubles and a four fold with B365 and am being offered a full stake cash out on all of them. Each involves Paisley Park who's price has been cut so maybe something to do with that?

I do recall putting on a five fold last year which I could never cash out at any point.

Still not watched the festival back yet... but Minella Indo (as I've just mentioned on the monthly forum thread) is interesting at 20/1.... I'm getting tempted

and it also brings in Allaho at 33/1 with WH as a potentially standout price.... then again - target wouldn't be clear for him for at least 10 months

Not backed either, yet.

Carefully Selected wins the RSA Kev! Forget the rest just lump on him on the nose :highly_amused:

He’ll be fav after he wins the 3m novice hurdle at Punchestown!

Interested in Thomas Darby for the Arkle also. Confirmed he goes chasing. He obviously enjoys the course, 1st & a very good 2nd on his only two visits has to be a positive!

Any danger of him stepping up in trip do you think?

Has Ollie mentioned it? Can see him going a similar (bonus incentivized) route to Kalashnikov this season! He definitely doesn’t lack pace just needs a truely run race to be seen at his best! Stiff 2m is ideal imo!

Edit: Brewinupastorm for the JLT surely if going over fences...

Yeah, could see that for sure.

If Brewin is his best though, could a stiff run 2m be up his street?

Not like he wouldn't run them against each other though.... right horse in the right race kinda fella.

25/1 for TD is on the radar though.

If this seasons hurdle crop are anything to go by the Arkle won’t be as hot as the JLT for me. Obviously have horses like Draconian to come into the equation too.

You could argue cash out essentially makes it NRNB until January time when you can then cash out and make it NRNB depending on the odds change.

They were pretty hot on it come February, but horses being ruled out in September and October they were quite lax on, they even added it back on for Never Adapt about a week after she was ruled out if my memory serves me right.

With no WC to farm free bets on I imagine i will mainly stake on Skybet and bet365, something would have to be a real standout on WH to make me switch over

Factors change all the time, from current form, likely going, opposition.
I backed Fakir d'oudaries for the Triumph with WH, did I know that JP would purchase it, the minute he did I knew what the outcome would be but I was locked in, did the price matter from there onward.

This has been put back onto skybet FYI
