Cheltenham 2019 Ante-Post bets

classic tizzard, well its a stayers hurdle trial. But he certainly dosent want 3 miles. He makes the any race market redundant.

Unless good old Col has a change of tact and finally starts running them in some handicaps.

Agree about not wanting 3 miles, do not get the entry at all. Think the Thistlecrack trick went to his head, now every horse gets a go at 3m over hurdles for him!

He frustates the hell out of me, as he has some very good horses. Unfortunately I get sucked in to backing the horses as opposed to relying on the trainer, who tends to mess them about!

I’d have him over fences at 2m let him tank along at his own pace. Would probably improve his jumping as he obviously doesn’t like being too restrained.

Watch him take a keen hold and tank through the race tomorrow.

Vision des flos.

"took keen hold, tracked leaders, went 2nd before 6th, challenged next, led 4 out, headed before last, no impression on winner flat"

He’s a two miler, it’s as plain as day

I can't 2nd guess tizzard he could literally go anywhere next. Champion hurdle trial or a 2m novice chase. Logical.

But he literally could well run him in a 3m hurdle and think that was an encouraging run for a try at the stayers. He mopped up that listed race over 2m, and he put him back up in trip to the ballymore even though hed shown he dosent stay the trip. I'll never see that as making sense.

Anyone who may have had Downtown Getaway on their watchlist would have been pleased by Remastered beating Good Boy Bobby at Ffos Las just now. Downtown Getaway hammered him by 12 lengths so the form of that race is getting stronger. The only problem is, I’ve not heard a peep about Downtown Getaway since he moved to Henderson last year.

Haven't found a link to the quote but somebody on twitter mentioned this quote by Joe Tizzard before VDF ran yetserday:

"Vison Des Flos is a brilliant jumper normally, he was just a bit keen last time... so we’ve decided to go back over hurdles. He’s only five-years-old, and we’ve just got one eye on seeing if he can develop into a Champion Hurdle horse."

Sounds legit and a reall strange decision after one fall when he is normally a 'brilliant jumper'. Will be delighted with my any race bets if he ends up going there :)

Nicky Henderson stable tour in the RP today so if anyone wants info on any particular horses, let me know.

Adjali
A smart hurdler in France, he has size and scope and is hopefully going to be more than just a Triumph prospect.

Downtown Getaway
Impressive in his bumper in Ireland, he is a grand, robust gelding who is stronger and more mature after a good summer. He looked brilliant in his bumper and we can’t wait to get him started over hurdles.

Gallahers Cross
Won at Galway before a respectable fourth on his first start for us in a competitive Ascot bumper. He’s schooled well, looks the part and I hope he’ll be exciting for novice hurdles.

Never Adapt
A lovely looker who won her only start in France before joining us. She’s enthusiastic and probably just needs to learn to settle, but knows how to jump and could be anything as a juvenile hurdler. She will hopefully run at Cheltenham this week.

Thankyou, All good there.

Would you have any concerns on Adjali's target Scooby?

I see 33's for Triumph with bet 365 has gone, 25/1 now.

Adjali is being aimed at triumph, not sure he will run before xmas

What did he say about Verdana Blue please (wondering if he is going to run her in the Greatwood) cheers
