Cheltenham 2019 Ante-Post bets

be surprised if might bite runs at haydock, and the odds on thing probably reflects more that hardly any of the horses in the betting will turn up on boxing day.

How come? Ground?

He's definitely said it's the plan this year as he is much more straightforward?

Theres been something about Epatante,Asterion Forlonge,Draconien and others. There seems to be a diff horse on diff threads quoting him on here

Lots of different divisions though somer...

A bumper horse, a novice chaser, his novice hurdlers...

The fact is he's dominant in every division, and to defend Willie, it is't like he's calling the press to tell them anything, he gets media approaching him and wanting these sound bites...

Always pays to be cautious but I wouldn't place any blame with him.

Nicky's worse than most at messing around with his big guns.
I just think he'll pull it if the ground is on the soft side. which is likely
The why give it a hard race against other soft ground stayers etc.
Although in this case I'd agree with him and leave him a bit fresher for king george.
But I hope he does run.

Yes can't deny the King George is a much more important race.

Perhaps I'm a little gullable but because I think the KG is Might Bite's to lose (would fancy him against ANY horse) then they might as well get him primed to run a big one at Haydock, and then be in the lap of the Gods for the Gold CUp and the bonus.

Winning the triple crown, when Ireland (Mullins/Elliott) are so damn dominant would be an incredible feat still... in the history books - and for me Hendo has his eyes on those history books, certainly isn't all about the money?

Million quids not bad whem your wife and friends own him

Wasn't aware of that connection, but it actually makes me more confident than before.... If they can get him right for Haydock, he has SUCH an advantage at Kempton, he's the only possible horse I can see doing that double.... No way BDM or NR are winning the KG

I was very impressed with both Lostintranslation and La Bague Au Roi jumping there. Very good battle between the two. Was evident inbetween fences that LBAR has some serious flat speed, constantly gaining ground on the outside and pulled away nicely after the last.

A really good race that.

Lostintranslation lost nothing in defeat, he tanked around for the most part and was keen, but the pair of them jumping was brilliant IMO.

I could see the result reversed IF Lostintranslation could settle better in future. However if he wants to travel the way he did then the JLT may be the best option, as 2f shorter than today's trip.

Was a very good race but LBAR always looked in control For me. Both nice types though.

Obviously a bit early to be thinking about the Pertemps in March but I'm going to keep my eye on Moon Racer after today at Newbury.
Stepped up to 3 miles for the first time he came a creditable 3rd so now qualified - I think he needed the run so hopefully they can keep him sound and also protect his mark which was still 6lbs below his rating when in the CH a few years ago.

Certainly an interesting project - I can't imagine he gets missed in the market at any point though unfortuantely. Pipe targetting the race, a festival winner and a pretty high profile horse all things considered. My guess is that he'll be priced up fav ante post

i'd like to congratulate Unhomme for being the first person to come up with Moon racer as an option for cheltenham next year.
Looks desperate to me, not a plot, will be ten yrs old next March and has no chance.
And like Kev said, may be priced up according to the punters who have had a love for this horse, although I'm not sure the bookies are even worried anymore.
I did put a small bet on for the county last year though, so you never know.
Thank fuck it didn't win today or they'd have gone for the stayers.

Moon Racer has been readily overrated over the past couple of seasons IMO. Another horse who has lived off winning the Champion Bumper at the festival but not up to the standard thereafter.

I wouldn't part with anyone else's money for this horse, let alone my own.

If he wins tomorrow, where does he go next? The beauty of the backing him in the any race market I suppose.

classic tizzard, well its a stayers hurdle trial. But he certainly dosent want 3 miles. He makes the any race market redundant.

Watch him take a keen hold and tank through the race tomorrow.

Funny bit of placing, If he runs really well he'll ruin a reasonable hurdles handicap mark.
