Cheltenham 2019 Ante-Post bets

Supreme

The usual mess although might be able to salvage a small profit.

Eldorado Allen 25/1 (unlucky)

Rathhill 20/1

Vadieu 33/1 EW

Fakir D'Oudairies 12/1

Al Dancer 4/1

Not sure that juvenile form was that great and barring mistakes would expect Al Dancer to take the beating.

Arkle

Paloma Blue 20/1 & 25/1 earliest ante-post bets; has shown little aptitude but should still run here rather than attempting a new trip and more fences.

Kalashnikov 4/1 should do better left handed but in hindsight a shocking bet

Le Richebourg 10/1 (unlucky)

Champion Hurdle

Laurina 9/2 (EW)

Mares

Roksana 16/1 (EW) on last season's form has a place chance in a poor renewal; concern about the track and current form

National Hunt Chase

Mortal 20/1 exposed over shorter trips and breeding would suggest this is the obvious race.

Close Brothers

Jerrysback 16/1

Glen Forsa 14/1

Both 'too good'. Clearly Glen Forsa was the handicap bet of the meeting.

Ballymore

Commander Of Fleet 14/1 & 20/1 Probably didn't look quick last time.

Champ 6/1

City Island 11/1 (EW)

RSA

Samcro 8/1 & 10/1 This is where he should have gone but would he have been good enough anyway? A poor decision and a wasted season.
Delta Work 20/1 Should definitely be clear favourite.

Bumper

Blue Sari 20/1 (EW) As I got the quote added hopefully it will pay off in what looks a poor year.

JLT

Another nightmare race.

Le Richebourg 25/1 He is better at the shorter distance but he would still have had every chance and gone off single figures in this.

Master Dino 7/1 (unlucky)

Vinndication 16/1 A very poor selection

Lostintranslation 6/1

Glen Forsa 40/1 The best bet on here as I think he would dot up but unfortunately connections see him as a two miler based on the flimsiest of evidence.

Pertemps

Cuneo 20/1 (EW) Slow pace didn't suit last time. Nice mark.

Ryanair

Monalee 10/1 Unimpressive last time but this is the right race. No more than hopeful.

Stayers

Supasundae 12/1 (EW) Chance of a place in this race, no chance of anything in the Champion Hurdle so let's go Champion Hurdle!

Paisley Park 16/1

Penhill 7/1 (unlucky)

Mares Novice

Epatante 10/1 By far the most confident selection. Think she is Grade 1 material.

Kim Muir

Mall Dini 14/1 (EW) Another weighted out.

Speaker Connolly 25/1 (EW) Interesting if he can get into a race over a staying trip

Triumph

Sir Erec 10/1 Class act but still possible jumping issues?

Coeur Sublime 25/1 (EW) Possibilities if you ignore the last run.

Fusil Raffles 12/1 (EW) (unlucky) I thought this was the one to beat.

County

Wonder Laish 25/1 Needs to do a little better than last time.

Albert Bartlett

Emitom 33/1 Disappointing as he would have gone off a good bit shorter.

Jarveys Plate 20/1 Very disappointing last time but chances on previous run when he looked a strong stayer.

Commander Of Fleet 10/1

Dickie Diver 10/1

Gold Cup

Anibale Fly 33/1 (EW) Decent effort last time and on that and last year's place looks the best of the outsiders.

Foxhunters

Stand Up And Fight 8/1 Lacks experience and needs quick ground in another very poor renewal.

Martin Pipe

Tedham 40/1 (EW) Very disappointed he didn't make it as he looked made for this race.

I'm with you on mortal for the 4miler. Held by delta work but jumps and travels well at 3 until push comes to shove then
Just can't live with the best. Jospeh quoted as saying he's exciting over a trip! All the gigginstown politics might mean he runs in the rsa
Which will cost me a lot as I'm on mostly antepost and for quite a bit. Also we may struggle to get one of the top jocks.

For Mortal to win any race he needs to find improvement. The best chance to do that is significantly upping him trip. I think he was flattered behind Delta Work as I don't believe the winner was at his best.

Gigginstown politics shouldn't apply. Delta Work is by far the best chance in the RSA; Mortal is too slow for a JLT and they don't have an obvious winner of the National Hunt Chase.

.....had my first Trixies now that there’s a bit more certainty with targets;

Le Breuil (Ultima) 16-1; Cracking Smart (Coral Cup) 20-1; NotWhatIam (Pertemps) 16-1.

NotWhatIam; Le Breuil; Lethal Steps (F Winter) 10-1.

I have backed them all in singles at bigger prices.

Will wait until the day for some extra places but I might have:

Glen Forsa - Arkle
Mister Whittaker - Ultima

Each way double

Blue across the board for Mr whittaker today @ oddschecker.

I’m not sure where to ask this so I’ll whack it on this thread..

The NRNB non runners.. Is it the 5 days declarations stage that (assuming they’re taken out) is when our accounts are credited with the cash or is it when the race starts on the day?

Think mine came back on the day of the race in past years.

Depends some of mine that weren’t entered already came back with sky and 365

Added a Nicholls Yankee.

Give Me A Copper (Ultima)

Pic D'Orhy (Triumph)

Caid Du Berlais* (Foxhunters)

Magic Saint (Grand Annual)

*I do realise CDB is not with Nicholls officially, but a former inmate who is basically trained in the same yard still.

Added Munir/Souede Thursday each way Canadian.

Kildisart
Footpad
Top Notch
Janika
Allez Dance

I don’t use Betfair but assume that Pink is horses being backed and Blue is horses drifting?

If you’re talking about Oddschecker t’s the opposite way round mate.
On Betfair exchange it’s the prices to back (blue) or lay (pink).
