A bit late to the party, finally deciding to post after reading many peoples bets/thoughts on here, so here it goes.
I've never been one for singles (I know, a road straight to the poor house) but I have always done well at Cheltenham doing multiples, mostly Goliaths & Super Heinz bets.
I, like many, have some bets that are already out, I had the late Vautour as my Gold Cup contender for this season, Josies Orders was also prominent in my original multi's, and of course I followed what had been a successful route for 3/4 seasons and backed Senewalk & Jenkins for the Supreme in some of them. Well that's the poor/mug/negative ones out the way.
Current standings are as follows:
Min (Arkle @ 5/1), Djakadam (GC @ 14/1) & Augusta Kate (Novice Mares @ 8/1) - 1pt E/W Patent (Singles are obviously part of this, so go me I managed some singles after all) = 14pts
Faugheen (CH @ 5/2), Douvan (1/2) & Thistlecrack (EVS) - 5.5pt Win Treble
Altior, Might Bite, Douvan, Cantlow, Ballyward, Unowhatimeanharry & Thistlecrack - 0.05pts E/W S.Heinz = 12pts
Min (5/1), Douvan (8/15), Bapaume (12/1) & Djakadam (10/1) - 0.7pts E/W L15 (Again, some small singles here) = 21pts
Min (4/1), Golden Doyen (16/1) & Bapaume (14/1) - 0.50pts E/W Patent = 7pts
Bapume, Djakadam, Golden Doyen, American Tom, Getabird, Josies Orders - 0.05pts E/W S.Heinz = 12pts
Altior, Douvan, Josies Orders - 2pt Win Trixie = 8pts
I have others, but these are my main bets so far, 'investing' more end of the month, including Thistlecrack & Altior in these, as although I have missed the boat on prices I am currently relying heavily on Min & Djakadam, albeit even if they both place I'll still be in a healthy position given the prices and the multi's they are in, but I feel the need to cover with a couple of bets of some alternatives/combinations.
