Champion Hurdle 2020

Oli Bell having serious discussion on ITV about Not so Sleepy's chances in the champion hurdle ?

Think Francesca's moved his brain to his balls.

Make a Stand. It can happen. Unlikely...but

I fully expected to come onto here tonight and see lots of talk about NSS for this. Didn’t realise Oli Bell had already mentioned it.

Off the front, relentless galloper. Unexposed over hurdles and improving. In a very weak division, I’ve seen worse 66/1 shots. Each way at that price. I’m tempted.

70s with the boost.... in the words of Eddie Heard... Ohhh go on thennnn

40 pounds is a gigantic jump. He recieved 20 off the likes of turnpike trip and monsieur lecoq.

Take ANY horse in the champion hurdle market and give them 20 pounds against either of them 2. And they'd be a 1/20 shot.

Its going to be a nightmare of a race this one. Theres going to be such a big field, that very likely it will be 4 and 5 places on the day.

The only positive for klassical dream after disappointing run, 1st time up, is he'll be out of trouble on the front end.

Because of the lack of quality in this race people are grasping at big each way straws.

There’s a lot of straw out there:devilish:

There is quality though, it's taken for granted how hard it is to be a 160+ horse. That handicappers and no hopers are being thrown at it.

Its basically going to be a handful that can win, with the usual county hurdle higher weight handicappers behind, packing out a big field.

Would like to seeKD settled pre race and not balloon the hurdles then let’s see what develops , perhaps I’m asking too much and my 12/1 talking?

Agree about bookies , they’ll be looking at ways to prize money outta punters

Badly phrased by me
Depth of quality for a Champion Hurdle, lack of

I hope he wins at Christmas. He wont settle though pre race, that's just him.

If we're thinking the CH is weak. Theres actually maybe more depth than we realise.

What is the final field?

Pentland hills
Saldier
Klassical dream
Sharjah
Aramon
Supasundae
Fusil raffles
Getaway trump
Petit mouchoir
Silver streak
Call me lord
Chtibello
Epatante

Is it really as weak as we think?
Not easy to nail down the 3 there.

Monsieur le coq
Not so sleepy
Elixir de nutz
Darasso
Thomas darby
Coeur sublime
Melon
Cornerstone lad
Verdana blue
Eldorado allen
Gumball.

Are all probably going to padd out the field too.

If you cut the also rans. Or my interpretation of them.
You've got

Saldier
Klassical dream
Fusil raffles
Sharjah
Supasundae
Pentland hills

I'd think the 1-2- will come from there. On all known form. And the assumption that the 2 juveniles are on the incline.

I'd still have them 5 or 6 that hopefully Make it, as the real race. With the lesser horses having there own race behind.

Will no doubt be hard luck stories in a field of that size though.

I’m not expressing myself well this morning !!

Try again
What I’d like to see is a worthy Champion who then comes back in 2021 to defend the Crown , oh and for good measure a head bob finish !:)

Melon would be odds on if that was the line up

Your fine, was just a general post.
I think that what everyone wants to see, I'd like klassical dream To go off in front get them all off the bridle and stay there.

There will be horses upfront near klassical dream that will try and go with him and win, but he has one way of running like faugheen, he'll wind it up and kick, if he breaks there hearts, or ultimately his own..

It will be set up for horses held up lke sharjah, supasundae, fusil raffles, that will be finishing their races strongly... in the arctic fire sort of role.

He was cut from 33s to 20s by PP the other day, so it's obviously on the cards, if you think that, take the exchange price. I'll be avoiding him myself as he was flattered last year for me.

Nah I don't think he'll win. He's just the best of those also rans.

He was 20/1 ew when I knew he was running last year so I don't want to be suckered in by thinking a horse is value just because it's a runner
