I’d that’s the case Mullins might weigh in using his experience and say “look I don’t think she’s ready for this”. If the owner has continued to ignore him then he’s daft

What am saying is Laurina if running here I think will be because the owner wants to run here.If it was Mullins decision I think he would choose the mares race as she is not proven against anything other than other mares.I get the point about her price because it's a Mullins mare and Annie won it but that doesn't mean Mullins himself thinks she is that class but the owner obviously does. Its not Mullins style to do this.

Her price is because it's a horse with Mullins and Annie Power won it, Faugheen won it, Hurricane Fly won it, and I won't name all the placed horses he's had. He knows what it takes to go very close or win the champion hurdle. And that's what the article says. Which is what some of us have been saying since last season.
I think she's nailed on to run here now, it will only change through injuries and possibly other switcharounds by other yards.

Didn't Willie also hint or say Ruby will ride Laurina in the Champion Hurdle if she goes there? That in itself is enough to make the price collapse

Melon could fall into that category then,a horse with Mullins and so on,but is a 10/1 shot having form in the book ,better form than Laurina.Look Laurina is a hype horse in relation to a Champion Hurdle,as I said before let's hope she runs here and we will find out if it was the right race to for.

I don't think the price could get much shorter. Daft price as it is.

Melon is the one that has been overlooked this season, all because of Laurina/Samcro.

10/1 for a horse that needs to find a neck with the 7/4 fav.

He's going to come on for his seasonal debut as per normal.

100% agree with this

Melon doesn't win very often though does he?

Another thing is he's 10-1 now but can't help but think he will be bigger after the DRF.

Wanted to see Brian Power running today....pity he isnt.

Good ground in March and Ive a feeling he could come into play.

I imagine lots will be including Melon in EW accas on the basis he will place not win

Yes ,I think your right Charlie, Although i do still think Buveur D'air will win , Melon is definitely
my second choice and a decent each way price for my multi's.

That I agree with!

What a stupid way of betting though?!

The 'place' part of an each way bet on Melon is awful!

10/1 best price, 1/5 the odds

so effectively 1/2 a place as you have a pathetic chance of winning?!

Awful bet.

Awful

Awful

Awful.

A lot of people must be idiots if that's going to be popular. The horse has no form at all to say it'll win, and isn't a solid each way bet! Absolutely awful bet.

Anyone on, I don't even wish you good luck, it's a dreadful bet.

I actually agree with you to be fair. He doesn’t tempt me each way at all.

Overated horse.

If Melon's overrated, Laurina's a hype job + Samcro a chaser as everyones saying, i presume BDA's a cert?? Or is Sharjah the one, even tho he's clearly ground dependant.

Personally disagree with you fellas- Melon is overpriced. I don't care about multiples.
