Wowzers!

Didnt expect it to be that easy. Didnt even hurdle as well as he can either. You'd be hard pressed to see Samcro winning a CH after that.

Awesome .:highly_amused::triumphant:

I now respect BD,
But for some reason:devilish: will bet against him in the champion hurdle.

The only argument you can have is now that is twice Samcro has had to make the pace. In his novice days he never had to once. Not saying he will turn the form around at all, but he'll at least get something to aim at IF they still choose to go down this route.

One word..…...WOW

That 7/2 SB were offering a weeks back looks very tasty now

Braver man than I now Quevega, was all over SB, can't really account for a beating of that magnitude by putting it down to first time out. Samcro needs further, but will probably take them ages to realise that, and maybe revisiting the switch to fences would be a better career move.

Surely it's all about BD.

Samcro can't beat BD on good ground at Cheltenham. He would win the stayers hurdle and that's the route to go down.

Hindsight but the size of Samcro is monstrous and even for a horse of his talent I don't think he can live with the more nimble horses. Absolutely beautiful horse and looked a giant compared to BDA and SB. Will Gordon be brave enough now to switch him to fences? They should if they want him to fulfil his potential.

Don't get the ride on Samcro. Made it easy for BD.

If they think he will win a GC one day, I think they should switch to fences asap. Its his game for sure.

Summerville can't jump can he ?
My brief affair with him after hating him before the supreme (how he won that I'll never know, but I now think the supreme was shit form again, which was my initial thoughts back in March) IS OVER.
I'm banking on the Mare being the real deal.

Looked easy, although the race was completely set up for BD. Crawl & sprint.
I remember saying last year that when Melon gets ridden correctly, and gets some decent pace he would be a danger in the CH (to much laughter from this thread) and didn't he give BD a scare. Interesting to see which way they go with Samcro. That should tell us a lot as GE is no fool.

Maybe after the hiding they will switch to fences and target the JLT maybe. I agree, he will not reverse that form in this race come March.

Yeah, my only nagging feeling about him. Not once did he make the running last season, this season stepping out into open company they have done it twice. They have kind of had to given the small fields he has run in. I do think he'll be better further down the line and with a stronger pace in front of him, but to overturn that form, hmmm, a tough ask now.
