Samcro out……..Hmmmmmmmm

I'll be suprised if they back up there own words and go for the fighting fith, I think buveur dair would cruise all over him personally. Good for the game though.

I'll probably get disagreements on here but that stinks of bottling it IMHO.

I mean I wouldn't want to face a fresh Faugheen, but I wouldn't have got to race day to pull out.

Incredibly poor renewal of the Morgiana, a shame for racing in Ireland too.

"sun is shining and the ground is drying like mad"
Someone needs to explain to Gordon about science, and distance from sun, angles etc at this time of year.
FFS
Hope it's not sunny at cheltenham in Spring, the grass will set alight

Erm....boost for Samcro there?

Stayers for Faugheen then.

Clear to see that the machine now needs further and can’t cope with 2m any longer. I’ve seen a lot of people calling for retirement, but I still believe there is races left in the old boy left

I think given how he ran over 3m last season would suggest he's not done with yet for sure.

Willie has said Faugheen will be up in trip. Possibly 3 miles over Christmas.

I'd agree but im terms of form he was given a soft lead there at punchestown In the stayers with the mullins horses behind having no interest to go with him, personally think it will be a different ball game in the likes of the stayers

Thought he couldn’t burn off Tombstone so don’t how much of a franking it was for Samcro but that is how I looked at it initially.

Sharjah at 33/1 if you knew it'd be good ground? :p

I think it probably confirmed my suspicions and early thoughts after the race on here that Samcro & Sharjah cut each others throats LTO. Sharjah had Faugheen to aim at this time around and both will have pace in the Champion Hurdle to aim at.

Gordy saying the fighting 5th might be the plan. Isnt that Buveur D'air early season target? Surely they both wont go here? Really hope they do!

Anyone fancy vision des flow for this race. He'l probably be staying over hurdles and he won't be getting 3 miles so will this be where he'l end up. I know its already looking like a hot champion hurdle but at 40/1, any chance?

a good freind of mine has preached this since Aintree this year and Looking back at that race with Lalor winning and Bedrock 3rd i hope Mr Tizzard has a good long think as he could be a serious dark horse, has the natural cruising speed and doesn't look like he needs any further than 2miles at present i feel.

365 have him out to 66/1 tonight too so not sure if Tizzard has mentioned if he's going back to novice chasing?

I can't find any quotes from after the 2nd to Wholestone.

I don't personally fancy him, but you don't need too much in your favour at 66/1 and clearly has some decent back form.

66/1 is not far off to be fair.
Kalashnikov at 50s I'll be hovering over at every start that would be huge should he need to switch back.

Willies already started with Laurina “Her owners are keen to go the Champion Hurdle route with her but it might be more realistic to aim her at the Grade 1 Mares race at the festival”
