Champion Bumper 2021

If Sir G is with WM now, there might be an incentive for him not to take too many others along, other than Kilcruit.

Toss the Sir Gerhard slips in the bin, no way Mullins allows Kilcruit to get bet :biggrin-new:

Hasn't riden him on the track before however. Could all depend on if Patrick goes pro or not

Yep he said would prefer to retain regular riders of horses but not that arsed except for Envoi was the vibe.

Actually thought about this:torn:

God why cant the lead up to Cheltenham be simple and smooth, it was all going too well this year...

Does your emoji mean you are joking or are you implying something more sinister?

Joking of course but Sir Gerhard's task couldn't be harder than it is now.

I agree. But note that 365 appear to have reduced his odds from 5/2 to 9/4 following the news :indecisiveness:

Or they may get him in the yard and realise he's every bit as good, if not better than Kilcruit and it goes the other way.

I'm pretty sure CPS have a bigger cheque book for going forward too. Money talks, as we all know.

Mullins has horses for countless owners and few are bigger and more prestigious than Cheveley Park. If Sir G loses it'll be to a better horse, no other reason. I don't see how his task is suddenly harder, he's the one they all need to worry about in my opinion.

I agree and I apologise profusely for my sense of humour by pass ...I guess I am just not in the right place for humour that implies corruption right now

:highly_amused: Which (humour that implies corruption) is my favourite type. :encouragement:

Closely followed by farce.

Didn’t do Ferny Hollow any harm last year

Kilcruit is special to the family though.

Look it what I said was in jest, but it'll be a tough ask for any CPS horse moving yards to near to Cheltenham. Gordon will have them well tuned but there's a lot of change going on for creatures of habit.

I’m just in a bit of a funk right now tbh. Need to get my head straight as tomorrow is a big day for us all

Snap out of it my friend.
There's far worse things can happen. And have for that matter.

The narrative that Willie wouldn't want Sir Gerhard to win is lost on me, especially as it hinges on him wanting Kilcruit to win?

He quite openly said he wanted Patrick to ride Ramillies didn't he... perhaps Patrick is desperate for the win on Kilcruit, but he can ride him, Willie isn't going to be upset if another of his wins it.... I don't think he was too upset last year from memory?

Willie will be thrilled to bits his biggest 'threat' is now in his hands, less likely tactics are a factor now.

Does anyone have any idea if Sir G or any of the CPS horses for that matter will be moved prior to their runs at Cheltenham?

I thought moving yards and change of routine could ‘upset’ horses. This would be my worry as a backer of a fair few of Gordon’s CPS horses

Being moved later today I believe the CPS representative hinted at, once they got logistics in place. Decision was finally made at 10 this morning.
