In that case I may well be wrong, it’s always been my understanding that the same rules apply to this race as they do novice races

Good shout, she won the big bumper at Aintree a couple of years ago so definitely had a bumper win in the preceding season....

Yes, the race has nothing to do with novices, its based on max number of runs, age, and not going hurdling.
 
Are the entries due to close for the Bumper in the next few days?. As things stand Sir Gerhard can't be entered

Wouldn’t these entries have been done before the BHA made the statement as they are released today but only to the public tomorrow?
