Breeder’s Cup

Was very impressed with Up to the Mark last night… monster performance from one who was reportedly nowhere near fully would up. I’ve decided to get out of my Master of the Seas bet as a result as I can’t see him reversing the form. The only thing stopping me wading into UTTM is Inspiral potentially coming here… does anyone know whether if she was given the BC go ahead, it would be the Mile or Filly & Mare turf?

Talk was they're thinking of stepping her up in triphttps://twitter.com/RacingPost/status/1706662406594629693?t=ohKSVeCp8Wv_txQu6Ig-gg&s=19 but after the sun chariot win I'm not sure

Reckon that’s a bit hasty.
He looks (uttm) like he has a superior engine for sure.
But I think the jockey on master of the seas got his timing wrong and went half a furlong too soon off a decent pace.
the draw, different tactics and luck in running puts the 2 closely matched IMO.

Granted Q and there’s certainly a chance I might end up with egg on my face but one of my rules for ante post on races where I’m not building a book, is to get out at full stake back if there is opportunity on horses that I don’t currently see winning the race. This has worked for me more often than not.

MOIRA :love_heart: again @ 12/1 e/w Filly & Mare Turf

Edit : Also backed DIDIA @ 11/1 e/w after her race last night

Now we know Opera Singer is not going to the Fillie’s Mile, the 9/4 about her for the juvenile fillies turf has to be a bet doesn’t it?

If she goes, surely nothing would get close if she could put up another Prix Marcel Boussac performance

Anyone got an idea on what the record of horses coming here from Champions Day at Ascot is like?

It seems a huge ask imo to run in a Group 1 in soft ground at Ascot and then 2 weeks later be expected to reproduce that form in America. But there's quite a few that sound like they're running on Saturday at Ascot and are towards the top of the markets here. Considering taking them on...

Bit I've not got as far as checking the last few years results yet.

Not sure on figures but I the likes of Mostadaf and Inspiral won't run if soft which it's looking to be and go to the BC. I can't see them doing both, it's either or.

Aye, there is some that will probably be NRs this weekend to be fair. Paddington sounds like a runner though. And Tahirya.

Kinross?

Maybe I'm better waiting.

The plan was France, BC and then Hong Kong for Kinross last I saw. Not sure if that has changed.

Low liquidity stuff but he's fav for the sprint on the exchanges. Enough to suggest he could be a runner imo.

If he does then I'd say he doesn't go BC.

This is what I'm thinking.

Paddington, Inspiral, Kinross and Tahirya are the four shortest prices in the BC Mile. All four are entered at the weekend. I think you're right and Inspiral will be a NR but it looks like the other three may take the chance. In which case I'd be against them all for the BC. And maybe find something at a price each way...

Or just play Inspiral might make more sense I guess :glee:

There was talk of maybe sending Inspiral to the filles and Mares which wouldn't be good for my Warm Heart bet. I'd be surprised if they did though.

For the mile I followed Sax in on MOTS and covered with Songline.

Aye, followed in on MOTS as well. Was interested to read Godolphin may send Mawj to the mile as well though. She has the same options open to her as Inspiral, with even less certainty though. Bit of a minefield to be fair

Yeah, nothing I would touch currently.

I think they will run Inspiral in the Filly & Mare… betting patterns certainly suggest so and as they are keeping her in training next year, if she can prove she stays 10f it will open up a whole lot of other opportunities for her

On the Filly and Mares market, I just had a look on odds checker and in italian is 20/1 in places, shouldn't have lost last time given a stupid ride. Way overpriced in my opinion
