Samcro entered up on Sunday in the same race labaik won last season , 1st time iv considered posting about samcro on the supreme thread. If Gordon takes out all his other runners will be another simularly weak race and easy pickings.
If he fancied picking up some more prize money i would really rate SAMCRO if he beat mengli khan well. I really like mengli khan. He could well have improved as much as messire des des beaux did as a second season novice. And if he dosent run here, he Could well be overpriced In the royal bond.

I keep getting tempted to back him as a 'saver' but remember I don't need to as I backed him for any race :highly_amused:
Would send a few multiples down for me though!
I have backed him any race for decent money but went back in at 16s neptune when pp halved him on price, so financially I'd prefer him here, and also think it would be his best chance, if money talked, from an early stage it would be screaming neptune/ ballymore

Yes I do. I already backed at 25s when only odds available in one place.
Will find out more on sat, I expect he will still be a very backable price after the race with samcro holding up the market.
Last year's winning connections and last years 2nd trainer/ jockey
Bold statement but I honestly think he's as good as neon wolf was at this stage, Neptune is his trip.

Similar situation to me Kevloaf, I have invested heavily in the Ballymore market including Samcro in over a dozen multiples so could do some damage to my AP if he goes Supreme.......
BUT, around August time when I was adamant Samcro was a Supreme horse, I placed a few nice looking bets if he were to go here, so i'm kind of covered, however, would stand a better chance at greater returns down the Ballymore route.
I guess we will all have to play the waiting game!

Samcro that good he could win either imo , god willing its the ballymore. Guess a lot depends on how good Annamix is and probable one or two others.
At this stage it's more likely horses duck him, rather than the other way around..... but we have a LONG way to go

Them 5/1's are slowly disappearing about Samcro. Based on price alone it looks as though he is nailed on to come here, but we know that doesn't always end up the case!
We recently saw with the David Evans / Ladbrokes case that bookmakers are willing to shorten a horse when given some information about it, whilst connections manage to continuously get on the horse in a different race, all the while the public are unaware.
Now I'm not saying this is like that case, as the exchanges fully point to this race as its target also, but in no way would I be surprised if it ends up in the Supreme, being the cynic that I am!

would it be right in thinking maybe Elliott is a little more cautious of the public and antepost punters than mullins is? running death duty in the albert bartlett when he was clearly not right all week (apparently) makes me think this.

To be perfectly honest I'm not convinced many trainers care too much about the every day punter, they have no obligation too either so for that reason I have no complaints in how they go about their business, that said I am also very sceptical about every single one of them, although never find myself shying away from a bet due to a particular trainer.
When things like the Evans / Ladbrokes case come to light I see no reason why my views on trainers should change either.
I am 100% convinced there are some very honest and reliable trainers out there, but I'm not great at reading them amongst the, shall we say, less honest ones.
"No lose betting accounts panorama" springs to mind. Might be worth a Google.
I must admit I like this though as if you know the certain trainers and bookmakers, the target becomes very obvious. Especially with chelt antepost.

The only thing with certain trainers and bookmakers is they could easily blind side you into believing one runner was targeted at a race that isn't etc.... And with ante post punting that's your money down the drain already if this happens.
They could but a certain bookmaker has a superb record, 100% talking from experience, has made my festival the last 5 years.
I'm well aware it will end at some point but I will continue until it does. Only thing that changes it is an injury. And odds always reflect that before announcement with another horse being shortened dramatically for the same race. And drifting for the race where they were going.
