Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2019

Each to their own I say. I completely understand why some people might want to avoid the racecourse as it's extremely busy and that might not suit some people, but for me, as long as I'm breathing il be at the festival in person. No place like it on earth

It's a hell of alot easier to navigate the course now, before the upgrade it was horrific at times especially when raining but last 2 festivals have been no problem....

Been loads better since the new grandstand; always seems to be loads more room in Club these days

I'd be worried about ruining the days for who were there, than myself not having fun. I'm even clumsier in my wheelchair, than I am on crutches :highly_amused:

Vegas is my no place like it on earth, but I might try to get in a box again, one festival. At least that way I won't be worrying about getting in the way of others, and can still see it in the flesh.

Oh Pym
He’s a horse we’ve always liked but it’s been a case of being patient as he was never 100% last season and we were never really happy but we gave him a couple of runs in bumpers at the back end of the season mainly to give him something to do. We started him in the same race that Altior won at Chepstow earlier this month but I think that’s the only similarity they have. I certainly don’t think he’s the next Altior but he’s a very nice horse to be going on with and he has proven he handles good ground so we may step him up to 2m4f and have a look at Cheltenham next month.

:encouragement: Excellent. I hope he still has enough to win today but I am glad he's not changed his tune, having chanced the bigger odds for the Ballymore!

Good to hear that. Hopefully he impresses shortly...

Well that was a bit underwhelming to say the least. They’ll be stepping him up next time out surely. Glad his price put me off having a wager today.

The one certainty is that he won't be running in the Supreme.

Needs to be much better next time, he didn't exactly look strong at the finish which I'd have liked to have seen.

Yeah he didnt find a whole lot for pressure today but he did last time out, maybe came a bit soon after his last run, big improvement needed anyway he’s was a bit scrappy over his hurdles today aswell.

Thought Pym was given a shocker to be honest. Neither a decisive or confident ride could be Jenkins 2.0 but I’d give him another chance.

The ride he got was a little odd, looked like he kept switching him? Perhaps he hoped he'd just pick up and go on again but he stayed at the same pace.

Need Nico back!

I’d agree with you there Folski, Iwouldn’t usually be one to criticize jocks but I wasn’t overly keen on McGrath’s ride. He tried to make the pace and didn’t know what to do once he was headed. You only really appreciate Nico the other top lads when there not in the saddle.

Blackbow/ commander of fleet / rhinestone
entered up in what looks to be potentially a really good card at naas

Blackbow in the race won by Next Destination last year.

The 25-1 with Bet 365 is a must bet IMO.

Deffinately, iv already filled the wheel barrow on himself and annamix for the ballymore ew / supreme ew respectively.
