Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2019

I'm more surprised that he's gone hurdling this year; i suppose he's 5 turning 6, but judging by Elliot's quotes there's been a change of plan alright.

28Nov18 Punchestown (16Gd, RPR 126)

Battleoverdoyen is a smart horse. He's one for the future. He's still only a baby and he might be one for a 2m3f bumper at Naas in the new year - Gordon Elliott, trainer

The "baby" comment also lends itself to running over slightly further than a Supreme i'd suggest. Only reason i could see him going for the Supreme is if they have a lot of options for this and 3miler.....As Elliot seems to be short of a 2mile hurdler. Unlikely tho.

Hes got a 2 miler at home that won a schooling hurdle 2 weeks ago.
Admittedly one i thought they over paid for beforehand.

Scooby where do you find out about these schooling hurdles?

It’s something I’ve heard about but never been able to research myself, is it just word of mouth?

The FR one that's been entered up? Forget the name!

I wouldn't have had BOD down as a 2miler at all, he was also entered over 2m7 last weekend. Clearly will stay very well. Just the impression he gave during the race to me was slick and efficient...was against average enough horses tho.

They'res always a list of who's there, mullins had 20 last week inc... melon.

Not a mention of Blackbow recently, hoping for an entry or two over the next week...

The racecourse are open to the general public. If you ask They're usually generous enough to hand out a piece of paper with the list of horses on down for schooling. If you know the horses well enough, you can make them out for yourself.
I know one person who goes to these regularly.

Blackbow is entered up at Leopardstrown Innoko - 2m hurdle - 27/ 12.

Those were my thoughts.

Would like to see him entered for a maiden somewhere.

Yeah, I wouldn't read too much into that entry yet, Willie, amongst other trainers has multiple entries in that race. Tough start out to life over hurdles should he take that on first time out.

Face The Facts runs tomorrow @ Naas. One I believe Willie said could be one to keep an eye on. Unsure what his festival taget (if any) would be should be go in tomorrow and on from that in future months though.

Nico jocked up to ride Angels Breath on Friday at Ascot, also jocked up is Thomas Darby.

You'd imagine judging on his flat form it'll be this trip at the very least! Interesting to see how he hurdles!

Was thinking so myself, either this or the Albert Bartlett.

I’ve posted my thoughts on this one before but based on his other flat recruits from Gosden, definitely Ballymore or Albert Bartlett.
