Arkle 2020

Just don't think he's be up to an Arkle myself... and he doesnt like he wants any further so doesnt have many other options over fences.

I agree to a certain extent but the way he’s performed he could end up out of the handicaps so may only have the Arkle? Can’t see them bypassing cheltenham when has cheltenham form. Will watch his next entries when he’s up in grade and might be a case of possibly pulling the trigger if producing

Nube negra backed up his impressive debut with another easy win, jumped really well to date. Do we see him coming here? Good juvenile form placing in the Fred winter, not so good last year which tends to happen with the 4 year olds. Not sure if folk see 25/1 as value now? Forgot to look prior to the race today.

One for Aintree perhaps.

Heard a rumour Everton have spoken to Mark Hughes this week F_M

Surely that cant be true :highly_amused:

Nube Negra impressed me fto and that was just as impressive. His jumping is so quick and slick and I can see a fast run Arkle really suiting him. I still haven't backed him as I've a few covered for this already but I find I'm talking myself into changing that soon.

Stormy Ireland - "She is not the biggest mare to go chasing but I was chatting to Ruby (Walsh) and he thought she would make a fantastic novice chaser. She has as much scope as any of the big horses."

Melon - "looks a better chaser than hurdler"

Draconien
I don’t think he’s going to make it back to the track this season, which is a real pity. - willie mullins

Where's he say that?

For anyone who fancies Nube negra for this pp and bf have him at 50s for this after today's race seems they have pushed him out in price going by oddschecker

Thinking of pulling the trigger on Nube each way for this with 365. Will look again tomorrow to see if i pull the bow.

50’s is worth a small play for sure! Probably have a punt on that e/w as well

What rating is Nube Negra?

I've not seen his race yet but my thoughts eye he'd be a handicapper.

Obviously I need to watch him before I go any further

I saw race and he looked a really good jumper....but RPR 144 similar to last. Needs to improve, but i'm not so sure can trust ratings that much in weak races....and only needs say 10-12 pounds improvement to be live contender

Decent 3rd in Fred Winter off big weight and 4 years old form at Festival often comes back couple years later (usually Triumph i know)

I've added him with cashout for Arkle as like stable (been there and it a good ambitious operation).....but tend to agree maybe handicapper....just feels likely very open race again this year unless Laurina a star
