Arkle 2020

Bapaume potentially interesting in there too!

Quite fancy him for the JLT.

Really hope fakir turns up. As then I'll know where melon stands either way. With cashout the option.

He ran well in all the top novice hurdles last season and I was very happy with the way he won on his chase debut at Carlisle last month. He was always going to improve for the run as he'd had a wind operation and was a few weeks behind. His early season target is the Henry VIII Novices' Chase at Sandown in December and I don't want to give him a hard race beforehand, so I'm in two minds as to whether to go to Cheltenham next week or Wetherby the same weekend.

Second in the Supreme last season, he’s done very well through the summer and we're looking forward to getting him started over fences. He's an intended runner at Warwick on Friday, is in good form and has been down at Henrietta Knight's for some intensive schooling.

If he wins at Sandown I can't see any other outcome but the Arkle for him.

Would certainly be a strange for a winner of that race to step up in trip come the festival.

Agree.
I thought he was tame at the finish in his Ballymore and he looked like he was about to fold on trials day, he could very well be one of those horses who runs to his best over a flat 2m 4f but at Cheltenham he would be better over a fast run 2m.
I’m not convinced this seasons Arkle will be one that lives long in the memory so he is one that I’d certainly consider...

Hopefully he goes to chelt rather than wetherby, so the likes of al dancer, getaway trump etc... atleast have a reasonably competitive race.

I really don't get what people see in brewinupastorm, personally cant see anything special about him at all. I deffinately couldn't see him winning an arkle .
So will be interesting to see what he can actually do.

I feel the same about Thomas Darby but everyone else seems to rave about him. I like Brewin’Upastorm though

Cannot be worse surely than last years ?

Cannot be worse surely than last years ?

Will have to be fairly abysmal if it turns out to be worse than 2019.
Several high profile injuries created that and when top class hurdlers stay hurdling it obviously impacts next seasons novice chasing division...

Obviously not much point reading into Mullins too soon, but interesting still he said That 2miles on heavy might be what Melon needs at this stage....

Laurina not in Drinmore either!

Can imagine Willie will stick to Mares chases, you know, nice and easy races, for Laurina to mop up prize money, until the festival at least.

Possible but if he’s to start her on Monday it’d be in open company..probably highly likely he doesn’t though

Thomas Darby declared at Warwick tomorrow. Just the five runners.

Was just about to post this. Nicholls runners and ballymoy not declared, looks an easier introduction now

Looks like Rathhill stays hurdling even after his poor run in Ireland

Where did you get the info from please paz247, has Nicky commented other than the stable tour in the RP?
