Arkle 2019

Yeah it is too early to start predicting what Ruby will ride when neither have jumped a fence in public yet... I just like the angle of finding the "right" one and having an each way double.

I'd expect Ruby to place in both the Arkle and the JLT - and I want to be on the right side of his rides as soon as I can be. II know you don't like multiples but I find these to have lovely potential for a small outlay.

2015 - Un de Sceaux (1st) and Vautour (1st) (was easy to spot quite a way out)
2016 - Douvan (1st) and Black Hercules (1st) - was impossible to spot until a few days before!
2017 - ***Altior was an absolute obvious standout***(1st) and Yorkhill (1st) who avoided Altior IMO, was an easy double to place
2018 - Footpad (1st) and Invitation Only (PU) - was fairly clear cut from a way out?

I'm not saying that's a sensible bet each year, but it's something I've looked out for since it worked in 2015 and I will be again.

what about http://www.fatjockey.com/forum/showthread.php?14654-115pffff2p42f5fpp :devilish:

Jesus, what happened to Mengli Khan's price? 14/1 now before debut, Petit Mouchoir was that price after his pretty impressive novice chase debut for this race wasn't he?

Can only see Bon Papa as a previous winner. Can you go back any further?

Apart from the likes of the Moscow flyer etc... And key trials. I wouldn't worry who runs in what maiden ... they're miles behind this year and will get opportunitys when they can now.

He has to win today hard held mengli khan.

Flopped debuts of those that were supposed “to improve over fences”

I'm not worried I just like to know which horses have won a race before to give it a bit of historical context.

Interest more than punting

I asume you use the Irish racing site. If it dosent go back further I'd assume it's a race recently added to the programme

I'm not putting up this one for the arkle but I'll give you your next st calvados . You might well get 100/1 and he'll give you a bit of fun to follow. Hes a legitimate case, If they place him similarly, he'll look a proper animal.
SULLY D'OC Aa

Scooby , he's included in his stable tour in the Weekender today , I don't no how to attach pics on here so will type what he's put about him .
"He's an interesting horse ,he won four of his seven starts in France , including three out of four over hurdles , but he's a proper chaser in the making . He could be anything as he goes so well at home and if he does what we think he can we will have lots of fun with him . He will go novice chasing this season and has schooled well. We declared him to run at Exeter recently but had to pull him out as the ground was wrong - he wants it soft . He could run at Newbury on Friday if conditions are right ."

On a side note I'm sure saint Calvados had a full brother in training now too with someone not sure who thou.

Thankyou very much. Interesting.

Look forward to seeing him. Thanks for the update

Very nicely done by mengli khan. Well learn more the next day

A bit novicey, as to be expected, but a very sound performance for a chase debut. Reminded me of Kalashnikov's debut a bit, the faster he went the better he was over his fences IMO.

Mengli jumped lovely then, perfect start. Couple of jumps in particular where he made lengths were very impressive, shame the other fences were took out.

Absolutely delighted with that from Mengli Khan, looks like he's really taken to fences, took a good 3 lengths out of the field over one of the obstacles. Happy to be sitting on some nice looking tickets at this stage.
