Any idea if Cilaos Emery goes chasing? he would interest me in this if he was to do so.
I'd be more concerned that they stepped him up in trip CoD, rather than the fact he spent an extra year over hurdles.
I don't think Gigginstown are particularly bothered about being represented in all of the novice races CoD. Instead, they tend to run the horses in the races that they'll feel suit the horse best.
I think he will probably end up in the Arkle but there is the possibility that PM will be better over further.
The Grade One-winning hurdler could start off at Chepstow on Saturday, ground permitting.
"He came with a big reputation last year and has fulfilled that in spades. He is a beautiful horse. Robbie Power schooled him and you would have thought he was a handicap chaser," said Tizzard.
"He could easily end up as an Arkle horse, as he is not short of pace. There is the JLT at Cheltenham now, but the more prestigious race is the Arkle."
I'm sure he will go arkle now. The reasoning being. Fox Norton is 100% a Ryanair horse, Colin wanted to run there last year and potts said champion chase. Robbie power said at the end of last year he's a Ryanair horse and tizzard has just come out and said he's going down the champion Chase route.
Clearly potts calls the shots. And fair enough it's his money.
Simular thing happened with de bromhead and sizing John in his novice runs. And with Harrington as after beating sub lieutenant over 2m4 he looked Ryan air bound. Before suddenly going for the Irish gold cup/ chelt gold cup
The more I stare at this market the more I think it is there for the absolute taking with Finian's Oscar!
If he can win over 2m, fences... then with the likelihood at taking on Willoughby Court, Yanworth and possibly Bacardys etc in the JLT/RSA... this race looks there for the taking!
Owner cares about the prestige more than 'a winner' on what we've seen historically and although I don't think they'd swerve a tough race, I can 100% see why they'd aim at the Arkle this season with a view to stepping up in the future if need be! Plus, maybe they've got the bug for the CC with Fox Norton going so close last year....
The only horses I like in the market are Melon, Petit Mouchoir and Charli Parcs and I am not sure any of them are even going togo chasing.... f now FO might end up in a different race, but 6/1 any race vs 16s for this - I might take my chance as I really am starting to think this will be the race he goes for....
Oh I agree JLT may suit him more. I just feel like the JLT will be a deeper race this year and if the arkle is open they might re-route. He's a future gold cup horse so he's probably less likely to go, but I've had 2x £10 free bets on at 16s and I'm happy for now. Was just trying to think outside the box a little
I have gone all-in. 10 pts on Finian's Oscar for the Arkle at 16/1. Win only.

He’s in really good form and of course we are excited about him. We’re hoping to start him back in a beginners chase in the next few weeks. He might start off at two miles, but I could see him going two-and-a-half miles at some stage. Fingers crossed he takes to fences and can get to a similar level that he did over hurdles.
I don't think you'll be able to get double figures anywhere, for any race, Arkle, JLT or RSA after Saturday afternoons debut, all things going to plan of course!
