Is it wishful thinking to hope that Asterion Forlonge’s performance today gives me more hope the The Big Getaway comes here? I’ve not got a bean on AF for any race and Shishkin for the Ballymore only. Fingers crossed the owners want a runner in each race.

It's be a pretty strange decision to not run asterion forlonge in the supreme after today on that ground in a grade one. With Envoi Allen awaiting in the other race.

Hoping that Mullins sticks to his guns and has AF for the supreme and TBG for Ballymore but we will see.. Pocket talk obviously.

The Donnelly's must be pinching themselves. What an amazing team of horses they have assembled in a relatively short space of time.

So hard to know what they will do. Will EA scare them off? Could well run both Shishkin and AF in this and The Big Getaway in the AB.

Cant see them not giving 1 of theirs a shot at Envoi Allen, I mean he isn't invincible is he?

Don’t think they will have a runner in this, can see The Big Getaway in the Ballymore and Shishkin and Asterion Forlonge in the supreme.

No decision made but the interview with Mullins suggested Shishkin would go Supreme and Asterion Forlonge to the Ballymore. Anything different would be a big surprise.

Careful with that prediction he said AF to the supreme on RTV.. certainly needs clarifying

That was the post race interview on RTE. It is pretty obvious they are not going to waste both in the Supreme and Asterion Forlonge looks the much stronger stayer.

One's won a maiden, the other a grade one.
And I'm not sure what you read into the interview but it's a bit skewed IMO.
And don't forget Willie all but committed Big Getaway to the Ballymore last week.

I’m in no way crabbing their chances this season but I’m always compiling next years shortlist :witless:

And to be honest, I prefer it when chasers are given a chance over hurdles rather than wrapped in cotton wool and held back.
