Albert Bartlett 2020

I see no reason why the big getaway wouldn't go to Cheltenham. It's not like Willie's running out of time, he is purposely keeping the better ones back, so they can go on to Cheltenham AND punchestown. They're not sat around or might be left for another year etc... they're out schooling

Good point, so a January hurdles run could set the ball-rolling on the business end of the season for him.

I love The Big Getaway, Scooby, he has got a full book of NHF runs now, and is aiming to go over hurdles next time out.

He would be a way behind the progress of Latest Exhibition with his three hurdle runs including Grade 3 and Grade 2, so I would tend to think of LE as a Bartlett horse this season, but not sure on The Big Getaway, maybe the post-Cheltenham graded races?

He'll defo go Chelt Hampton. Colin said yesterday 'he was bought to be a Cheltenham horse' - doesn't get more conclusive than that :)

I just know i'm going to forever get the big getaway and the big breakaway mixed up for all their careers

As Charlie just has do you mean? Haha

Have to double read it everytime

hahaha exactly as I just have :)

Be even worse if they take similar roads through their careers haha!

Anyway back to the race.....if The Big Getaway takes up his engagement and wins well I think he will definitely come into the reckoning for this. Huge galloping horse isn’t he.

Pack it in you 2 !
Heads fried enough with these 2 already :)

Feeling sorry for Paul Nolan?

Horse moves to better trainer for huge fee?

Win win.

:devilish:

Maybe a silly question(s) but has sale been confirmed? Is it confirmed Mullins will be the trainer?

I just don't understand the auto response that's it's bad news for the trainer.

Raises his profile still, gets money in to the yard? His owner that sold will be thrilled to bits?

New owner wants the horse with Mullins ... perfectly understandable?

It's a business ultimately, I understand the arguement that he could be a future festival winner for him, but ultimately this win at the weekend may be the best thing the horse ever achieves.

Yes it’s business first and foremost , you nugget :p

Have you seen Paul Nolan interview post LE race, his demeanour?

Let’s hope owner reinvests in horses and places them with PN is all I’m saying

Nobody can foresee what the future holds unless you ask Lobos? :devilish:

You're right, it's just the "Nolan comeback train" has been haulted a little + with the uncertainty as to how rich the owner is etc. It might be that Nolan doesn't get replacements in (he likely will).

The last part is so true, my neighbour owned Moscow Mannon. A very decent horse. After winning two of his bumpers having beaten two mullins horses, he was subject to 300k plus offers. He went on to still have a decent career but his earnings only made it to £90k and he sadly fell at the last at Naas and died. Johnny bred him so he wanted to keep him regardless, but he's not Bill Gates so it might've made sense to sell!

No need to feel sorry for him.

After all that, it was a load of rubbish. And untrue. Still as was.
