Aintree Foxhunters chase

He would be wanting more than 2 1/2 even in his conditions?

Grand vision the one for me but im not happy with the price atm.
price or atleast place terms are likely to be better on the day.

I actually thought the drop in trip might help him, myself Scooby. Not run over shorter for ages, but always seemed to be a horse with a turn of foot to me.

Grand Vision would be a massive player if getting in a nice prominent (front running ideally) position over the trip for me.

I will probably add him on the day

Thought this horse did not give his true running at the Festival, so each way on

Drying ground is increasing my confidence in Balnaslow, might end up having a serious interest in this one....

Drying ground?
According to BBC weather it was raining in Liverpool today and is raining now.
Wishing it won’t make it happen :)

Dry overnight at Aintree from what I can gather.

Have left this race alone I sat with grand vision at 11/2 in my bet slip and couldn't pull the trigger regardless of codd being on board. I fancy him but I could let him win at that price.
he's under priced imo due to codd being on board. I'd have rather backed him without codd at 8/1+. Hes the one i fancy but Over these fences at 12 YO backed up from chelt in a big field with a few horses that finished around him last time. At those odds the risk and reward dosent fit with me.

I would have backed Burning Ambition probably stepper back in trip but he’s out.

Small bet on Grand Vision for me as it looks a weak race and he’s got a lot going for him.

9/2 ain’t the best price for a race like this though.

Whether the logic was correct or not is immaterial - you got the right answer. Well done Ista :encouragement:

If ground was deep Balnaslow would not have won.
Good to soft with the odd soft place maybe, any worse than that and he can’t win.
Finians Oscar winning the first confirmed ground was OK....

Well done Istabraq , I thought that after the cheltenham run , balnaslow would struggle today., proved me completely wrong !.

Fair play to the clerk of the course cos I live in the North West & how he’s managed that ground is beyond me.
