2027 The Prices on Offer

….Koktail into a best 16-1 Ry after that win.

…..comment from JJ Slevin re Zeus Power;

‘He was probably rightly so a big price at Cheltenham with his profile coming into the race, but he showed what he could do that day to be fair. I’d imagine he will be a three mile hurdler, but I’ll leave that up to the boys and that won’t be my decision.”

Given how desperate the staying division looks with home by the lee winning the two big races at 11 the young improvers like zeus power surely have to be big players next season

The New Lion's to lose...
Wrong type for me. Travels too strongly. Just looks a 2m4f horse from what iv seen.

Perhaps a switch in training next season could change that as he will have been going as fast as he can over 2 miles all season

All Wodhooh if they choose to step her up....

I read she was being saved for the Mares Champion at Punchestown. No doubt to support Gordon’s title bid.

Makes sense in that regard... Just not for next year's Stayer's hopes. Leaves them with a decision to make next season, rather than testing the waters end of this season.

So is JDG a shoe in for the Mares if Wodhooh goes Stayers next year ?….related double like Wodhooh and Lossie this year?

10/1 looks big if Willie decides to keep her hurdling……where else is the challenge going to come from?…..doesnt look to be standout mare from the novice ranks this year

Just seen on another post that the challenge could well come from BDA staying hurdling…..

I still feel that there are only probably 4 Mares that can win next years Mares Hurdle and one of them looks certain to defend her CH crown

I would include Air Of Entitlement in to the thinking for sure. Two time Festival winner and this year on the same course and distance as the Mares Hurdle will be run. I think Wodhooh wins if she runs but if she goes Stayers then AoE is a definite option to consider.

Not taken much for them to cut Brighterdaysahead for the Mares Hurdle! Top priced 10s now. Still fair enough if it was actually confirmed she stays hurdling though.

Regretting not putting the 25s in a single as well as multiples when it was there.

Mange Tout
Highland Crystal
Air Of Entitlement
Zanoosh
There's four that can be thrown into the mix for next seasons mares, I'd hope Zanoosh is the one.

The two 4 year olds have to improve by nearly a stone on ratings to get to 150

Zanoosh by 10lbs - same age as Wodhooh

Air of Entitlement by 7lbs - same age as JDG

And BDA is rated nearer 160

That might not be a bad play, he’ll fall well short of that this season but it wouldn’t be a shock if he acquired another 25+ horses from other yards this Summer assuming he can fit them all in of course…

I believe that they do have more room now that they have closed down Alne Park Stud.
