Though i do think he was beaten before stamina came into play today

He's probably just not that good. His Ballymore win was one of the poorest races I've seen depth wise. Just been hyped up by Willie and co.Yup this

That’s probably his spring race now.Aintree perfect for Ballyburn
I guess if they were planning on running teahupoo more this season he may not have been as fit for reappearance as usualHe's probably just not that good. His Ballymore win was one of the poorest races I've seen depth wise. Just been hyped up by Willie and co.
Teahupoo actually looks like he's improved to me. Could be the opposition in decline though.I guess if they were planning on running teahupoo more this season he may not have been as fit for reappearance as usual
Good job we have some younger ones to take him on in March.Teahupoo actually looks like he's improved to me. Could be the opposition in decline though.
Impose Toi big danger imoGood job we have some younger ones to take him on in March.
Think Bob will be thereabouts again though
Yeah it’s really odd. Some of the unheralded and lesser fancies ones are going in. King Rasko, You Proof, that bumper winner, all easy to back and won readily enough.Willie Mullins in all sorts of bother with his form.
I'd have IT over him though. Thought he won cosily last time with a fair bit in hand.Honesty policy too??
It could be a case of leaving the novices that they rate the highest short of fitness, as those are the ones they want to be peaking in spring. Whereas the ones such as you mentioned above, aren't high in the pecking order at the moment, so they may have them more forward to find out how good they are. Or maybe the ones that were hyped are just all shitYeah it’s really odd. Some of the unheralded and lesser fancies ones are going in. I think the more established horses are fine. GDC probably needed the run and his others in behind ran well enough. I don’t think Ballyburn stays. Majborough perhaps isn’t up to it. But the novices are struggling.
Fair enough. I don’t have IT covered yet, but planning to. 7s is still fair I thinkI'd have IT over him though. Thought he won cosily last time with a fair bit in hand.
Yeah I do worry it may be the latter. I suppose DDM aside, the horses who’ve been at Willie’s at least a year seem to be running ok. And DDM probably ran into one (and certainly had some condition on him). It’s the new crop (bumper horses and French recruits) that seem to be struggling. It could be a case of leaving the novices that they rate the highest short of fitness, as those are the ones they want to be peaking in spring. Those aqps bumper types often take a run or two to get going over hurdles, so the likes of leader dallier could be one that improves a fair bit with another run or two, as I thought his jumping was a bit sticky. Off the top of my head, karoline banbou and karbau last season came from those bumpers and made noticeable improvement from first to second run.Yeah I do worry it may be the latter. So perhaps the 4-week delay has really scuppered their early acclimatisation at Closutton. I know P2P form is hard to trust, but Lord Rouge was second to Heldam. LR won very well FTO, yet Heldam was disgraced in his bumper.
… or perhaps recruitment has been a little off this year.
What else has Willie got for the Stayers, apart from maybe Storm Heart and Poniros?…..both of which Paul could rideIt surprised me that in the Hattons Grace, Ballyburn took a fair bit of cover as and stayed on well to the line, yet at Leopardstown they were up with the pace and chased the leader.
IMO the tactics should have been the opposite for the respective races.
I wouldn't be giving up on him for this race if he can get cover and be ridden cold enough, a bit like Bob last season.
I'd watch out for jimmy du seuil possibly reverting to hurdles. Not right now, but if he happened to jump poorly again next time out. The fact he beat impose toi in the Coral Cup wouldn't be lost on them. What else has Willie got for the Stayers, apart from maybe Storm Heart and Poniros?…..both of which Paul could ride
Just been altogether to disappointing for my liking, was touted as GC material after his Ballymore romp and 2/5 to win last years BANC
Also not sure he truly gets 3m
Absolutely. Nrnb hills on Thursday for meI'd watch out for jimmy du seuil possibly reverting to hurdles. Not right now, but if he happened to jump poorly again next time out. The fact he beat impose toi in the Coral Cup wouldn't be lost on them.
