2026 Novice Hurdlers

It looks like some ante post support is starting to build around Fire Warning? I feel the Henderson stable have tended to get involved ante post in recent but the pedigree seems a bit unusual being by the grey gatsby out of a high chaparral mare. Does anyone with pedigree knowledge have any thoughts?
Entered v Sober Glory on Wednesday at Newbury in decent looking 2 miler

Persisting at 2m Sober Glory is fairly intoxicating ignorance imo. Hobbs needs to give his head a wobble unless he’s wrapping in cotton wool for a chasing campaign next season.

For info, both Fantasy World and Taurus Bay (Turners) were highlighted by Mark Howard recently. Could be part of the reasoning.

May be worthwhile keeping tabs on the market support for Riskabahia in the 14.50 at Punchestown tomorrow with a view to the Mares Novice Hurdle. She’s widely available at 50/1.

Far too keen and fresh to do herself justice at Navan off the back of a two year break on heavy ground.

Expecting her to come on plenty tomorrow, the hood will definitely be of a benefit to her potentially living up to her lofty reputation as would the application of stable cash so market check will be vital.
I went straight in for the 50s after her last run. Huge overreaction from the bookies. As you say, she is highly regarded and the bookies didn't factor in her absence or lack of fitness and as it turns out, the yard are (were) behind with their novices. Gut feeling - She might need this race too but if she turned up at the MNH you can pretty much guarantee she will be as close as she can be and if she is as good as they think, 50/1 is about 40 points too much.

If Fire Warning gets declared this week and wins well.
It'll be a novelty to be playing Henderson Bingo won't it ?
And not giving a fuck what Mullins does with his.

One of his today needs to win very very well to be considered a serious threat IMO.
As the race looks gash.
The winner will likely be over bet for sure.

Gordons is the one for money by the looks of it. Willie's both taken a walk. Negatives in the market this season has been telling with his as well.

I’m seeing a surprising static market … Sober solid at 5/4, Road Exile solid at 6/4 and Free Spirt shortening solid at 4/1. Barely moved form overnight

Sober is surely going to be a bit slow for 2 miles

Id imagine Paul will ride him aggressively

Ground has softened up a bit which might help but Willie doesn't sound ultra positive about either of his.

….Road Exile now Moscow Flyer fav (and 66-1 TWAF from 80-1) but it’s all very tight.

Yeah, be very surprised if Sober is anywhere near good enough.
Jumping not really up to it.
I suppose you never know if he can stay in touch with them, then he may have a chance as they turn in.
But won't be carrying any of my money.

The top of the Supreme market is really weird at the moment. The shortest 2 Irish runners both fell last time out and sandwiched between them is an ex-Nicholls runner who seems to have been rejuvenated by Nicky The Needle. I still think The Reverend is way too big at 20s. Living in Germany, I am highly restricted on where I can bet and my bookmaker of choice doesn't have prices on the Supreme yet, so I can't grab anything on The Reverend. If he wins the 2m grade 1 at the DRF he will become Supreme favourite at around 3s I reckon.
