2026 Novice Hurdlers

presume as be running in a maiden in the next couple weeks
maybe.
not taking a risk myself.
lots of other entered that are due to run this weekend
loads entered that unlikely to run IMO
I'd have wanted him in

Yeah hard one to judge, as others that are running in the next week or 2 also not in, likes of Mighty park and Roc dino

Personally not worried will play it by ear

Davy Crockett, King Rasko Grey, Le Divin Enfant and Sober only given 2m entries

DDM, Doctor Steinberg, Love Me Tender, You Proof only given 2m6f entries

Free Spirit, Saint Baco, Sortudo and The Reverend given both.

Of Elliot's only El Cairos and Road Exile given solely the 2m entry.
Ballyfad, Koktail Brut, Kovanis, Lazare De Star and Skylight Hustle given both.
Classical Creek, Jalon D, Kalypsochance, Kazanasky, Lord Rouge, Newbrook Diamond, Santa Sospir and Spinning A Yarn just given 2m 6f entries.

Fou de toi absent again

Melon wasn't seen until end of January, albeit that was in the maiden at the DRF that is no longer there, but maybe they will find something else around this sort of time.

I'm expecting similar for Fou De Toi.

Doesn't give them much time to have him ready for a Supreme though.

Both him and El Cairos could go in to the race both near the head of the market with only a maiden win under their belts!

No flyingking either :ROFLMAO:
Bang goes that theory.

The only maiden of Willie's I can see entered is Doctor Du Mesnil. Leader D'Allier, Fou De Toi, Green Splendour, Bambino Fever, and others beaten first time up aren't included. I think they've made an exception for DDM rather than it indicating anything untoward about the other two. Time will tell I suppose but I'm not cashing yet.

yep, probably right - just being ruthless.

If for any reason we lose Naas tomorrow, I could easily see Sortudo running in the 2 mile at DRF with Baco going for the flyer.

Why would 1 or the other not just run again in the Lawlors?

At what point does the Lawlor's become too close to the DRF, surely they'd want to be considering going straight there or running this weekend? Not sure what date they'd fit Naas back in again if they were to lose it tomorrow. But I'd imagine the course would prefer a Friday or weekend crowd for their big grade 1 of the season. 🤷‍♂️

I can't imagine Willies lawlors horses' would be DRF bound anyway now?

His winners of the Lawlors don't usually go DRF anyway do they. Losers some times do...

….W Mullins;

Saint Baco; ‘Paul has picked Saint Baco, it wasn't an easy choice but he just felt on balance that he might be his best chance here. He goes into the race off a nice win and I think the form of that race is quite strong, the second winning well over Christmas.’

Sortudo; ‘He was very good when winning the last time, his form has been let down a little since but he's by Authorized and I think they tend to improve with time. He shouldn't have any problem with the trip, in fact I think it will benefit both horses.‘

That Moscow flyer looks absolutely rotten :ROFLMAO:

4 declared, Sober, Free Spirit, Frankie John and Road Exile.

Riskabahia declared for the maiden later on the card, expecting huge improvement from her first run in 2 years last month.

bet365 flip flopped SB and Sortudo and they are kiss of death boosting SB. See if other firms follow suit.

….last hurdle omitted because of low sun in that first race at Naas.

Not just flip flopped, Saint Baco out to 4/1 with Sortudo 13/8. Classical Creek nibbled in also.
