2026 Novice Hurdlers

Son o
On a related but slightly different topic, has anyone tracked the novices that Elliott might get sufficient runs in for the Pipe?
Son of Anarchy could be interesting although I would wait for nrnb

He could be just improving at the right time

He won an Albert Bartlett trial last time which muddies the waters

Was a NR in a recent Pertemps qualifier wasn't he? So I'd be looking out for him in another of those...

Thanks Eggs must have missed it when looking through and it’s not appearing on oddschecker.

….it wouldn’t be the first time Hills suddenly list a price for one being discussed on the open forum (y)

Would've been theflyingking for the Pipe but I doubt he'll get in now. Entered for a maiden hurdle on Friday but he'd need another 2 runs even assuming he ran in that, so very unlikely unless they ran end of Jan and the Michael Purcell at the end of February.

Fire Warning entered in a maiden at Exeter on Friday

Interesting Baco is back in there

Wonder if we get the same as we got with Mystical Power..
The bigger clue is sortudo not in.
Obviously don't see him as a 2 miler.
Can see why Baco put in just in case Naas is off again.
But could also see Mullins opting for the Flyer with him also, so we'll see.

6/1 Saint Baco with PP for the MF,

I've had a stab, and then small related double with sortudo in the Lawlors

Market looks all wrong for that Moscow flyer. Sons and lovers second fave on hurdle debut? Entered in a maiden on the same day. And sober 6/4 fave after beating arch empire a length getting 6lbs?

I'd be all over any of saint baco, free spirit or port authority if I knew they were running.

I noticed that.
Cannot see it being anything like that after decs.
Won't risk saint baco though myself.
was tempted with deviluno though.

Decided to chance port authority at the price. You'd think gordon would have a go at it with something. Theflyingking is his lowest priced entry but looks like gathering runs for the pipe. Not sure road exile is good enough. Port authoritys 17 length beating of murat is probably the best piece of form in the field. And had an excuse for his blowout last time.

No chance Theflyingking would get the runs in now surely

Backing Classical Creek for the Ballymore and doubling up with Saint Baco for the MF.

I’d be very surprised if he’s sharp enough for 2m around Punchestown. I’m hoping he’s kept back for the 2m6 DRF race.
Yeah the entry surprised me and had it bot been for Slade Steel running in that same Navan graded race I'd have thought it even stranger.
I'd only backed for the Bartlett along with flying king so no real idea what either trainer is playing at as both look like stayers.
although the turners for Deviluno I would not rule out completely.
He was mad prices on exchange half an hour or so anyway for supreme 400+ and turners 150+
So had a nibble.
Soft ground festival and you never know.

Don't see why not, if it's what they want. Gordon doesn't mind running horses with short breaks between runs if he wants to get them in a handicap, unlike willie. Think the cutoff for having enough runs is somewhere around 20th February?

In which case he could run in the Moscow flyer, three weeks later at the drf maybe, and then squeeze one more in one of those rated novice hurdles that he likes to use. Might be worrying having so many runs in quick succession before the festival, bit if he's not doing a trying at all in any of them then he'd still be fresh.
