2026 Novice Hurdlers

Feels like a lifetime ago when Tom Malone was the man for finding you a good horse from a source no one else had a line into, things have changed a lot in around 15 years.

He’ll buy TTT, won’t he?
Not sure, Munir & Suede sold off a lot of French stock only a few months ago so they might be inclined to sit on their UK horses for now, not like they need the money either.
But that said, everything has a price.

Kealy a big fan of Sober Glory. Thinks he should be half his current price! 😲

It’s a hard one this year. There’s so many converging form lines. There’s OPS, Idaho/MDP, and Sober Glory who’ve all been kept away from one another in the UK. Then the DRF form, which was slightly muddling, and at least two maiden winners we need to consider from Ireland.

I think it’s easy enough to argue Sober Glory and Idaho Sun should be shorter on what they’ve achieved, but visually El Cairos was so impressive. The way he came straight back on the bridle after that stumble was something else. Of them all though, I think he’s the one that’ll go off longer than his current price.

Agree. Take away his Sandown run and he would be and quite easy to excuse him based on what he did before and after.

Paul Kealy thinks Leader d'Allier (16-1) is the going to be the horse that Paul Townend rides in the Supreme 👀

Fire Warning scratched from the Supreme Novices Hurdle.

5 entered for the Sheila on Sunday so far, anyone with the inside scoop?

Of course he should, he has thrashed Kadastral twice. Kadastral beat Talk The Talk in a bumper...

He's a talent but he hasn't beaten anything with proven form. When he did race against anything with substance he blew out. Very hard to make all in a Supreme as well. When he got cover was when he blew out so could well like an uncontested and better when bullying lesser horses.

How many places do we think they will go on supreme if long list and wide open ?
I think eachtotheirown is a great bet- but not now at 3 places. We will have to wait until 48 hours to get more than 3 places anywhere right ?

I don't think he'd be beaten if they targeted Aintree with him. Supreme is going to be much tougher.

Am i right in saying JP only has

Supreme - Proactif, Mighty Park
Turners - Mighty Park

Yes, I think so. There's been reasonably sustained betting on Proactif in the Supreme recently too. 33/1 > 20/1 with PP (Antepost) and a reasonable amount traded between 30 and 40 on BFX.

Well worth doubling with Narciso Has in the Triumph. Pays just under 49/1 with Bet365 with the NRMB guarantee.
