The odds tell you that are you will probably be right, but his run style on chase debut would have me believe he's more of a 2 miler than 3, like I initially thought.

I went back and watched his debut over hurdles, and this was very impressive despite a big mistake 2 out, this also over 2m.

I hope he's at least given a try over 2m over fences as his jumping was really good, on the whole.

Yes, kind of why I hope so.
More competition amongst the trainers the better.
If he could get a few decent ones again he might get some of the bigger owners on side, instead of losing horses as seems to be happening.
I don’t believe for one second he’s forgotten how to train.
Yes he gets stick for avoiding the festival at times,but he does get a fair bit of prize money for horses that maybe would not get as much elsewhere imo.

I’d imagine a trainer like Nichols loses horses from his stable on account of him bullshitting and not so much results on the track
And the best trainers in any sport or game make their subjects better.
You can give a good horse to a trainer and they can make them worse. The best trainers on average make most horses in their care better.
Panic attack is a good recent example

They’re probably using better drugs mind 😂

The way he stayed on again at the end of his chase debut after pulling a train all the way, would give you hope that they could just let him fly over 2m and see what happens. If it worked it would be brilliant to watch and it would certainly give the likes of Kopek and Lulamba something to think about.

That's obviously best case scenario though !!

Lulamba declared for the Henry VIII. Also in so far is Lump Sum, Be Aware & Alnilam.

Lulamba gets the 4yo allowance so big advantage.

In England maybe.
Every Beginner chase ran in Ireland has been better than this race though.
In fact the beginners at Navan Saturday you could split the 16 runners into 2 and both races would be better.

Yep for anyone who is knee deep in Lulamba and or Kopek.
a very small related (saver) double would not be the worst bet.

I don't think that Be Aware will beat Lulamba giving weight but just interested on how he runs against him.
 
You'd want to see some bolder leaps from Lulamba,he got the "getting in close,fiddling over them" education the last day and it all went well, second time out, you'd want him to be fired into a couple during & towards the end of the race, bit less idling in front would be nice too as it could catch him out in a deeper race.
