2026 Gold Cup

There's not much good can come for Fact to File as a Ryanair backer imo.

Wins / runs well, has a tough race and supplementing for the Gold Cup becomes likely.

Doesn't run well, potentially still has a tough race, and probably drifts for the Ryanair anyway.

Still hope he's a late NR.

Fair enough.
I made my mind up on him after the race last Jan behind GDC.
I thought the main people had as well when he went Ryanair afterwards.

Maybe he’s now showing them something different from what I’ve seen on the track?
 
In my opinion of course, fact to file has no chance this weekend, well he has a chance as he’s available at 6-7/1, but he has no chance :ROFLMAO:

Also, how on earth is he shorter than Affordale Fury :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: who just won the savilles at Xmas against a lot of this field. In fact how the fuck if spindelberry shorter than affordale fury. Honestly the bookies these days are fucking jokers.

To be fair, there aren't many decent prep races for Cheltenham in Ireland after this weekend. Both Paul and Willie would like a backup for GDC if things don't go to plan and if they do go to plan it's an easy decision to send Gaelic Warrior to the Ryanair.
Fact To File will have been Frank Berry's choice but, again, where else would he go? This race didn't do him much harm last year.

Agree. Gaelic Warrior for me is a cracking price for the Ryanair. He'd be joint fav imo on the day.
 
I must go in again before NRNB destroys the price.
 
Probably better waiting until Saturday evening aren't you. Wins that and there's no way he goes Ryanair. And I think he's a good chance...

Absolutely no way he wins that with his terrible record at the course imo.

Just seen he's currently 5/2 second fav in the NRNB lists for Ryanair which is bang on imo. He'll potentially go bigger than that after the weekend but maybe not if he's confirmed for Ryanair which is very likely. I do feel backing him now is the best option.

Funny how different we see things on here sometimes.
I look at Gaelic and Fact and see one stayer and one mid trip.
Gaelic could possibly go down in trip i guess if it suits, even though personally i think he’s a massive player in the gold cup, but FTF imo would stand no chance of getting 3m2f anywhere near well enough.

The way Fact To File smashed Gaelic up at Leopardstown over 2m5f I'd be worried enough for me at the track.

I think he's a 3 miler too, and I'm surprised they are even bothering to run him in the race on Saturday!

Imo there’s a few running Saturday that ain’t figuring in the finish.
Hope I’m wrong but I feel it’s just good timing for getting a run in before March.
