On a serious note……whatever they decide to do with Cons Hill, then I hope the horses best interests/welfare come first

Saturday reminded us that national hunt racing has high degrees of risk and personally I’d rather he never see a hurdle again, as the confidence IMO is gone (horse and jockey)

Flat, Dressage, whatever……as we’d love to see him, but not hurdles

8 Grade 1 wins including his imperious performances when winning the Supreme and then the Champ Hurdle from State Man, will always be indelibly etched into our memories, so let’s not try and replay the past, when it may not be in the horses interests to try and do so.

Alexei (Joe Tizzard, Britain)
Anzadam (Willie Mullins, Ireland)
Ballyburn (Willie Mullins, Ireland)
Brighterdaysahead (Gordon Elliott, Ireland)
Casheldale Lad (Gordon Elliott, Ireland)
Constitution Hill (Nicky Henderson, Britain)
El Fabiolo (Willie Mullins, Ireland)
Golden Ace (Jeremy Scott, Britain)
Lossiemouth (Willie Mullins, Ireland)
Lucky Place (Nicky Henderson, Britain)
Nemean Lion (Kerry Lee, Britain)
Poniros (Willie Mullins, Ireland)
Sir Gino (Nicky Henderson, Britain)
The New Lion (Dan Skelton, Britain)
Wilful (Jonjo and AJ O'Neill, Britain)
Workahead (Henry de Bromhead, Ireland)

The Alexei dream lives on :ROFLMAO:
Workahead …….…impressive 7l winner over William Munny last year before finishing tailed off in the Supreme (there was money for him 15/2) …….not seen since, yet entered in the CH hurdle against 160/170 horses …..

The idea of running them against each other before Cheltenham would be too wild for them though.

So they'd be kept apart, one to the 40k maiden at Southwell on a Friday night and one to the Newbury gallop vs mister coffey.
And Mr Coffey finally wins a race

Alexei Baby !!!!!

Didn't even bother entering William Munny I see. Was hoping for a miracle recovery to keep that bet alive...

….Workahead entered, he beat William Munny by 7L at Punchestown before going off 15/2 for last years Supreme and ‘coming back sore’. HdB said he’s being brought back steadily and won’t be seen until January, interesting if he gets an entry soon.

Sorry @Wayward Lad notice you posted similar.

I'm loading up on Anzadam in each way multiples. He could easily be 2nd fav on the day.

Must be a chance they save him for another day if DRF doesn't go well. Lossie for Mullins and Townend, and Sir Gino for Donnelly.

I guess at the prices you take the chance on DRF going well for him, and not so well for Lossie.

Easily?
Which do you expect to be not turning up?
All comes down to how he runs at the drf. Considering he did so much wrong at xmas, if he settles better and doesnt get such a shite ride then he could narrow the gap to lossie at least.

In that event, who knows where it would place him.

20/1 now for Anzadam. You ain’t getting that if PT is on him. I can certainly see the angle behind him potentially being 2nd fav on the day

I reckon you're relying on him winning the DRF and are probably better just taking the 8/1 for that race...

I asked who he was expecting not to turn up !!

It's a tricky one.

He might get the Patrick treatment again at the drf, and if hes beaten but finishes close up, people will be thinking he could improve a lot again with Paul back on him at cheltenham if lossie doesn't go. In which case he's lost but the 20s is still gone. Even if gets an okay ride and narrows the gap the 20s will still be gone I'd say, as he'd look an improving horse.

I haven't backed him again at 20s but the 40s and 33s freely available after his Xmas run was way too big as I said at the time.
