2026 Champion Chase

I’ve a funny feeling Maj lays down a marker for this on Sunday. He got an educational ride last time out.

Huge difference in a 35 day break to the quick turnaround after a hard open company baptism in the Hilly Way.

Especially for a raw unit like himself.

I hope he does
He’s a horse that could be a real top class one if he could put it all together consistently imo

You’d want to see him come on plenty for his Christmas run. It’s sink or swim time, conditions will suit, no excuses!

Could twice in a short sentence unfortunately tells his story so far Carnage. Hope you are right but...

….W Mullins;

Energ; ‘I’m really looking forward to seeing him on this ground and certainly his work in the week has been better. I think the conditions and recent weather will suit him hugely but he’s 12 now and it’s going to be a tough ask to see a horse winning a Grade One like this at that age. But he has the ability and certainly the conditions to suit him which is why I’ve gone for the two-mile race rather than wait for a longer trip which I think we’ll see him over for the rest of the season.’

Maj; ‘Majborough has disappointed on his last two runs including at Leopardstown at Christmas and I’m not sure we have the right tactics for him yet. We’ll be trying something different this time and maybe the prevailing weather conditions might be a big help to him. We’re putting cheekpieces on him to see if we can bring about a bit of change.’

Won't be quick enough to lead Solness round Leopardstown, it'll be funny to watch them try though with a horse they're still trying to teach how to jump at speed.

Despite the ground... Think I'm going to make Marine a bet tomorrow at the prices.

If he stays on his feet, then it’s ’game over’ in my humble opinion😂
Yep. His most impressive performance was in last year's Irish Arkle when he made virtually all and blew them all away. He still made a few mistakes but it didn't make any difference as he was away and gone. Just go for it. No good at all hanging onto him and disappointing the horse.
